yep, why spend 117 are what ever when you can get a complete setup with about 50 bucks.

$ 4.00 Sterlite snap-top bin [wally-mart]
4.00 Perlite [homer depo, garden center]
1.00 3pk aluminum bread pans [wally mt]
3.00 50lb cow poo for casing [homer depot, garden ctr]
1.00 spray bottle [wally mt]
3.00 aquarium thermometer [wally mart]

TOTAL $99

This would be if you had none of the components available at all...starting completely from scratch. Half the cost is the PC, but you can get one used from thrift store/ eBay much cheaper. Once you get going the only real costs are more "consumables" like BRF and verm, and that's all so cheap it really doesn't matter.

If I was going to buy a kit. I would buy one that has all the stuff that you just mentioned.
