Feeling bad since smoked weed

About 15 years ago I smoked weed and since then I feel like I'm living in a fake or dreamlike world that I can not escape from, depressed and lost. I tried many things but nothing helped me to feel better in the long term. Do you have experience with something similar and what you did to come back to normality ? Why do they say weed is a safe drug despite it can trigger a lot of lasting mental issues for somebody at least ?

All drugs have benefits and potential for harm. One should educate oneself before venturing into the use of any drug. Just because it harmed one person doesn't mean it is harmful and just because it doesn't harm some people doesn't mean it will be safe for everyone. Assume your own risks.

Yeah but how would you know for certain if a drug can harm you until you try it ? When I smoked I was young and just assumed that weed couldn't do much harm.

Weed is a benign drug however for some people, it can be quite negative and harmful mentally. People with predispositions towards mental illness should not ingest weed because it can make those issues worst.
Weed is a mild-psychedelic and thus it can bring out mental issues a person may have as does true psychedelics such as LSD and Mushrooms. Weed has been known to cause psychosis for some people as it "activates" the mind in such a way that it can unleash any dormant mental issues.
My best friend had to quit weed (and all drugs) for health issues, mostly physical health problems that affected his mental health. He only sometimes drinks coffee and thats it.
Personally, Ive quit dabbing. Ive found from repeated experience that I have bad hangovers the next day from dabbing. The high is great and strong but the next day, I feel like crap and had to quit since it wasnt worth it anymore. I might give hash a try because it seems like the less potent version of concentrates but we will see....
Some people just cannot smoke/ingest weed. It just doesnt react well with everyone. And thats Ok. Sometimes being sober is the best way to live to clear your mind and achieve a level of stable happiness or content.

As with anything, you will never know until you try. And this applies to many other things. Milk, fish, strawberries, nuts, bread (gluten), etc are very safe and good foods for the vast majority of people. But for some they can cause problems that go from mild to life threatening.
I don't know how old were you when you first tried it but as a rule of thumb, it is best to avoid any drugs when the brain has not fully developed (roughly at an age of 25, give or take). Another indicator of potential for drug induced problems is family history of mental illnesses. Assuming something is safe without properly researching potential problems is not the best way to proceed. I have only done mushrooms but I started in my 50s. At that age, if one has not manifested psychotic episodes, the chances of those happening are way smaller than when you are young. There were some cases of mental illnesses in my family. I knew this was a potential problem but I assumed the risk because I was dealing with severe depression. I took a calculated risk by starting with a low dose (1 gram) the first time. I increased that dose very gradually and I still trip only every few months.
If you are still dealing with the sequel of your weed use you may want to try eating healthy, getting proper sleep, a consistent exercise routine etc. You may want to try a plant based diet devoid of any processed products for a couple of weeks and see how you feel. Then, you can follow that diet or slowly reintroduce eggs, fish, meat, etc. You will probably realize, very soon the effects that added sugars have in your body. Many years ago I started a plant based diet and within a couple of weeks I felt more awake. I hope you find a solution to your situation.

I can relate to this. I definitely noticed a change in myself when I first smoked weed, and like you, I did not enjoy it. Quitting weed was one of the best decisions I ever made. It just affects some people, like myself, in a profoundly negative way. Here is what I suggest:
1. Don't ever smoke again. It won't make anything better for you.
2. See a psychologist and explain your problems. They may be able to help you.
3. Partake in activities that stimulate you, mentally. Learning a musical instrument is a good one. You need to work out your mind like a muscle.
4. Speak with individuals at a psilocybin/ayahuasca retreat. Ask if the experience could benefit you. If you feel uncomfortable doing something like this, I understand.

This is why I'm hesitant to try shrooms! I have a decent imagination and connection to the Creator & love nature. I'll talk to plants, trees, animals... I can feel them/hear them, and I can become overwhelmed with how unique and detailed each one is and how creative God is to the point I'll be moved to tears! However, someone who was in my life told me I'd be fun to trip with because of that but I told him I didn't want to mess up the connection I already have. He told me its not possible but hearing what you are saying about weed confirms my hesitation. I know they are two different substances but still.
And I agree with Uninc. Definitely talk to a professional. Also, talk to Jesus, God's son. Not to sound weird or religious but I have seen peoples minds restored because of Gods loving power... my mind too. Just sayin, what do you got to lose?

That's dissociation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depersonalization-derealization_disorder
It might be the weed, or it may have just been a coincidence. Hard to tell.
If you want a chemical solution, there are three options: benzos, stimulants (adderall for example), or mushrooms.
If we had unlimited access to drugs, I would recommend trying pentobarbital first, then amphetamine if that didn't work, then mushrooms if that didn't work. And if all of that failed, I might try MDMA.
Sadly, we don't have that kind of access, so you'll have to make do with what you can get your hands on, but benzos should be the first thing you should try, then it's up to you if you want to try stimulants or mushrooms next. If you want to try mushrooms first, that's also possible, but it should be followed by trying benzos if that doesn't work. There is legit research that backs the use of benzos and stimulants in cases of dissociation, and I suspect mushrooms might help too.

I smoked when I was in my teen, since then I only smoked a couple of time and had only bad experiences so I stopped. Doctor prescribed benzos and they help a lot when things get too overwhelming just the effects last a few hours and don't want to take too often. Why do you suggest stimulants and psychedelics as a possible solution, couldn't they make things worse ?

No offense, but I don't think it's the cannabis that is the issue as others have stated.
I hope I don't offend you.

Cannabis has been shown by many studies to increase the chance of developing lasting mental issues, especially if used when you are young. I don't know if you need a predisposition for this, maybe I had that predisposition but before smoking weed I felt quite fine psychologically, after it was like my mind was messed up and taken to an unpleasant place. To say that cannabis can't cause anything bad is just false and dangerous in my opinion.
