The benefit of knowing ones limits.

Because the awareness of ones limits.. shows one the extant of ones knowledge...

Knowing your limits is knowing who you are.

What I thought to be my limit turns out its not. Can keep pushing myself to raise the bar a little each time. I don't like the idea of a limit that will stop me reaching my true potential.

A limit is just a mental barrier to overcome. A self censoring thing to place upon oneself.
4 minute mile was impossible.
Flying was impossible.
Going to the moon impossible. (i dont believe in the moon landing btw but as an example.)
Limits are meant to be broken, and should only be used as a measure point to where something is at the current moment. Not a forecast for what is or is not possible.

I think recognizing limits may differ from knowing limits. I can't remember who said this, but essentially: I know what I know right up until something else happens.

I think being very present means that knowledge changes very rapidly. So maybe it's a wise to recognize the limits of what one is presented with yet not get stuck and miss another present.
