Its funny how all of a sudden a step towards a universal drug plan is created, everybody hates it, just because its coming from Bush. It sounds like people just hate Bush no matter what his policies are.

I'm probably not going to judge Bush's drug plan based on anything I've read here.
Could be a kick ass plan for alls I know.

President Bush plans to unveil next month a sweeping mental health initiative that recommends screening for every citizen and promotes the use of expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs favored by supporters of the administration.
Is this screening going to be mandatory? Will the medication be mandatory?
Hehe, reminds me of the simpsons where they get sent to the island and are constantly drugged.

Exactly. The anti-seizure medicines that are given to patients are not very nice drugs either. But it's better than having a seizure and dying.

anti-epileptic drugs are also very effective mood stabilizers. Its all a game of hit or miss at this level.'
Frankie, reread what you quoted, it said it would recommend, not make it manditory.

hey, how about you pull your head out of your ass and read what is being posted.
how is this a 'universal drug plan' in the sense that the phrase has recently been used?
I'm tired of your ignorant, partisan baiting.
if you are nothing more than a blind bush supporter that sees the world as wither with us or against us, you have no place in this forum if you aren't interested in discussing the FACTS at hand...just go watch fox and feel better about yourself.
if kerry did it, it would suck, if bush does it it sucks.
pay attention to the points and the information in the thread instead of turning this into another one of your lame, uninformed, us vs them arguments.

afoaf, just because you dont like the direction I go in is no reason to get pissy. I never said it was a universal drug plan, but a step towards it rather. And I was using it as an example of him being more of a moderate then hardcore conservative.

actually, no, you didn't say anything about it being a matter of conservatism versus moderatism.
you said that people hate this just because it's coming from bush.
in response to which I'm saying that you are a retard for trying to boil every fucking political argument into this forum as dumb bush haters vs omniscient bush supporters.
that's simply a ridiculous and annoying premise to have to constantly deal with.

Yes, I support Bush but I dont go around making every post into an anti bush vs bush supporter thread. I do it alot with media coverage bias however.

Yet so many of them are. I see more "if you don't hate Bush, you support him" threads than I do of the opposite.

Do you think that the majority of members in this forum are truely objective on who it comes from, and that they look mainly at the issue? I'd say probably not. Kind of like the thing where Clinton bombs Iraq because of WMD's, and it's super dandy, and Bush does it, and hes a lying war criminal. Notice the wee itsy bitsy incongruencies there?

OK, maybe you could help us with that. Show me where some of the more rabid Bush haters have ever said one good thing about him or any of his policies.

if all bush did was bomb iraq, there would be some validity to your analogy. unfortunately, he's invaded two countries, one on false and seemingly selfish premises while leaving the other, the real source of the threat, poorly guarded.
The thing is, thats the way it is alot of the time. You don't think that America is a partisan nation?
whether it is or not, again, is invalid.
I don't think we're striving to be idiot sheep here, I think people are trying to share ideas and reasons to gain a better perspective on things....at least that's what I thought the point of this forum is.
if it were strictly a matter of partisan bullshit, I'd still be arguing with luvdem and evolving all the while touting 'bush knew' .
OK, maybe you could help us with that. Show me where some of the more rabid Bush haters have ever said one good thing about him or any of his policies.
gack, again, invalid, as we all know, bush has no good policies.
I REALLY can't think of one good thing he's done. that being said, I also don't run around trolling you saying..."oh, another bad idea from bush" just because it was his, ignoring the facts or circumstances. You aren't a flamer. Richard Simmons is a flamer.

He hasnt done anything good? Like Afghanistan? Or was that invaded on 'false pretences' too?
Also, the very first reply to this thread was me talking about Bush being more center then a hard core conservative because of this issue he is addressing. Very very first reply.

holy shit dude!
I'm such an ass....
I thought the one I quoted was your first, but that was just because I was only viewing the second page.
I'll slink away in shame now...
regarding afghanistan:
he started something good there, but then understaffed it when he diverted resources to his little endgame in iraq.
afghanistan could have been a good thing if he had followed it through to the end instead of getting side tracked on his pet project.
