Help me germinate Datura! 1

I have hand collected seeds from two separate wild datura plants and have been having trouble getting them to germinate at all.
The seeds are 1-2 years old and seem they dried fine with no signs of mold or rot.

I've always had luck putting them straight into ground soil , dig a hole outside throw seeds in , cover with dirt , water or let nature do its thang

No , I've had success with the aforementioned method using inoxia and stramonium seeds

Man, I grow them every year. I have wrightii, and innoxia.
I always save seed from my plants, but it really isn't even needed, because they sprout all over my yard now every summer, and they have for years since the first time that I planted them.
This being said, I have found that when you try to get them to grow, or baby them, they never seem to sprout. But, if you just throw them in the ground, or in a pot and forget about them, they then sprout when they are ready, preferably when it starts getting hot out.
I like to just throw my seeds in my big old lime trees pot, and forget about them. Then, one day I'll see all the sprouts, after I have totally forgotten about them even being in there, haha!

Datura grows as a weed all over.
I found some in my neighborhood in Tucson Arizona, and Iβve seen it in Dayton Ohio. Itβs all over, we call the fruits spiky apples and the flowers have been called angels trumpets.
I boiled three pods and drank about half of it, (when I was a dumb kid before I knew better) I got a fever and started sweating and went into a really unpleasant 3 day sleep and my dad said I didnβt make any sense when I talked.

Yea all my seeds are wild harvested locally.. they grow like weeds for sure. Somehow my babying them stops them from growing or maybe I harvested them wrong!
I had a friend who would be delirious for days at a time masturbating in public naked

Maybe harvest some more wild fresh seeds?
The flowers of the Datura Thorn Apple have some real light but pleasant effects. Its pretty nice tbh.

Are the effects different than the seeds?
Gonna be collecting seeds again this year and trying to plant them fresh.

Iβve never experienced any effects from the flower but the smell is extraordinary! Hopefully this year Iβll have enough blooms on the inoxia to give it a go.
Some inoxia and metel sprouts, hopefully wrightii too if it feels like popping off π€π»π€π»

Nice!
How fresh were your seeds? Did you prep them in any way for germ? How long did they take to sprout? What kind of soil??

The metel were from November β21 and the inoxia December β20. No prep for germ, just a seedling tray with humidity dome and seed germinating soil from my local big box hardware store sitting atop a seedling heating pad set to high (around 80f.) $30 adjustable spectrum grow bulb from same box store, on a timer I think 16 hours on and 8 off. Planted on 3/7 -maybe roughly a week or so for the metel and , I guess the inoxia maybe 4/5 days ago? Havenβt been obsessively checking them.
The wrightii I canβt say how old, that was a trade where the other were wild harvested. Just hope they pop off cuz I only had 5.

Really cool. Thanks for sharin! I think I am just too basic with my seeds or maybe harvested them incorrectly.

Nothing wrong with basic. I prefer it that way. I just got burned last year, had to start over twice β¦way to late in the season and didnβt get much return. Life is just way to busy to risk that so I had to make sure I was efficient haha. Just be patient, I hear datura sprouts whenever the fuck it feels like it.
