Most appropriate species to micro dose?

I recently found my way over to this side of shroomery. I have been wondering about info and experiences for micro dosing. Which species would be the most beneficial? If a person has access to these, and I will list in order of abundance. Ovoids, caerulescens, pan cyanescens, cubes.
I know there are differences in them all. If a person is intending to micro dose for the benefits to improve mental health, curb anxiety, cope with heavy grief.
Also, a regimen has been in trial already with ovoids because that is the most abundant. Today is due to come off of a three day rest. This would be a chance to switch species. I'm curious if anyone else has experiences with this?

I believe most just microdose cubes, or maybe they're just the most commonly produced, IDK I don't think there's enough difference between types to make a discernable difference
Everyone is different so experiment with dosage and schedule and find what works for you. Some take day or days off, some eat them everyday, some eat them twice a day, etc
There are no rules to this

I've noticed a different between varities. I have no idea the first ones I tried as they were given to me ground and in honey, and the guy who grew them just made up a name for them and won't give out any more info, understandably.
I've tried z strain and GTAT as well. Time will tell on the GTAT, but the first, no name, worked better than z.

Renoraines, you talking MD'ing or trip levels? Either way it's so hard to tell what made the difference, especially if they weren't home grown

Variety shouldn’t make much, or any, difference when microdosing. Amount of actives will, and that varies.
How much are you taking?

The amount ends up being .0875g when consumed asa tea. Higher amounts have been tested resulting in threshold feelings. So amount was dialed back to this point to avoid feeling any effects. Species being used if ovoid because of abundance. Potency of these are pretty strong.

This makes me wonder, are most people who have effective experience from psilocbe mushroom microdosing even experiencing benefit from the psilocybin/psilocin content or possibly other alkaloids in the mushroom?
Instead of finding the threshold of the psychoactive compounds maybe we should be starting from the lowest concentrations possible and working up to the desired benefit.

Gotta make sure all these tests are blind, too. A lot of these microdosing studies just look at people who already micro-dose aka they're mostly measuring how effective ritual and placebo are. I'd be curious to see a comparison with a control group who think they're getting actives but really it's tablet filler.

These are the only blinded studies on microdosing that I'm aware of so far and they all point twords placebo effect.
Psilocybin microdosing does not affect emotion-related symptoms and processing: A preregistered field and lab-based study
"Our confirmatory analyses revealed that psilocybin microdosing did not affect emotion processing or symptoms of anxiety and depression compared with placebo."
Microdosing with psilocybin mushrooms: a double-blind placebo-controlled study
"In conclusion, we conducted a controlled study of microdosing in individuals who were already planning to start their own microdosing protocol. While small amounts of dried Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms reliably induced significant subjective effects, their impact in other domains was negligible or even indicative of impaired performance."

Microdosing. THe Gtat, seems to be working well, but as stated, time will tell.
Yeah, sucks, but it was what it is. we'll keep growig until we find something that works as well or better.

Saved, thank you.
On one hand, we are debunking some of what we assume about microdosing. On the other hand, we are learning more about ritual and belief, which I believe to be the ultimate medicine. This is a win in any case.
Cheers
