Hey, same! Mine came today:

Been using cheap aluminum hobby knife handles. They're still good for my sewing needle transfer tool though.

I got 3 so I can cycle through them as they get too hot. Thinking about getting a magnetic tool holder for the side of my FH...

Me, with a sketchy piece of bent wire, thinking about the luxury of an exacto blade.

Installed a pid in my cook top and a PT100 into the Presto. After some auto tuning this thing is solid.

Out of curiosity, did you play with the sensor placement? I've been thinking about doing something similar to a Presto except with the Pt100 stuck to the side using plumber's putty to avoid permanent modification.

My external side readings from an IR gun correlate to my internal Pt100 in another autoclave almost perfectly.

Very cool. A bit more ballsy than me. Check out where I put my sensor (in my sig)

I really did not mess around much. I got the only pt100 I could find that had a 1/8" npt fitting. It could be a bit longer to actually make it into the vessel but this seems to be working fine.

If you could get a constant reading from your probe then one would assume the pid could be dialed in to maintain Temps. It would be interesting to see your results phenyl.

Edit: Just looked at your sig, that is exactly what phenyl is looking for. Cool stuff

Sorry to burst your bubble but those scalpel handles are whack.

You would have been much better off getting a no.11 blade with a no.7 handle.

Yeah, my fingertips are burning just looking at that stubby thing.

The good news is #7 handles and #11 blades are cheap as fuck on amazon

I just ordered a new set recently, things were getting sketchy with the ol bailing wire loop and exacto combo

I also prefer #7 handle and #11 blade.. I have a couple #7's... but I also have a couple a couple #3's, from before I know about #7's - they do the job just fine

Is the issue that the handle is so short? I've used it once already and it seemed OK so far. I guess I'll run it until I have a problem with it.

Probably fine if you work with small plates. At least it's stainless

I like mine but the grip is too close to the tip. Probably should have went with #7s.

I used one as a beginner and they do the job.

When you upgrade to the no.7 handle you will appreciate it so much.

No.7s are much more slender. They feel much better in hand and allow for higher precision.
