If you let it continue to colonize, the green will over throw it and any mycelium will be lost. Either give it a shot outdoors or chuck it.

Cut away the contam and spawn it to some manure outside,you never know,you might get a surprise

Does that happen with yours? That seems weird. I'm asking because the green never overtakes the myc in this guy I know's jars. They stay distinctively seperate.
So, what he does is keep them all outside in a shed when they show contams, so when he wants to use them for an outdoor bed, they are there.

In experience, if the mold shows up early, many times it kils the mycelium. If it shows up much later, usually there's a stalling process.

I have a similar problem with green mold and am considering growing outside.. is it safe to eat the mushrooms (if they grow) or could they be toxic??
