Hello
I’m still waiting on my mushrooms to grow but once they do and I remove them and clean them off, how do I dehydrate them to grind them into powder for perfect kittke .1 gram microdosing caps? I see little kits I can buy to measure out and pack the gelcaps with powder but how exactly do I get my mushrooms to be that dry in the first place? I have a dehydrator but we only make jerky in it. I am desperate for relief of my anxiety and depression and am so wanting to give MD a try. I am paranoid that I’ll freak out so I’m going with .1 gram when I do try but how coni get them fry enough to grind to begin with??

You can dry your mushrooms most likely right in the dehydrator you use for jerky.
Grind the mushrooms up and store in a small jar with with silica gel desiccant packs.
You really don't need to put it into capsules. On microdosing day just measure out the .1gm, place on your tongue, and wash it down. Or put in your morning smoothie/coffee/tea. Easy.
If you wanted to chow down on 5+ grams of dried mushrooms, capsules could be an option. But we're talking just .1gm for microdosing, it's nothing. Not worth getting a capsule machine, in my opinion.

Hey there! I commend you for turning to a holistic approach for managing depression and anxiety; I have found that it really helps to actively share progress with a trust friend or relative. This way they have your best interest at heart and can give you feedback!
As for dehydrating the fruits- I set my dehydrator as low as it goes, which is 95F (I wouldn't exceed 110F) and set it for 24 hours. I check the fruits randomly throughout the cycle, and you are looking for them to be cracker-dry. The stems should not have any bend or give to them at all. If they have the slightest bend, they aren't ready. if you don't want to use your dehydrator, you can set up a tub with a clip fan or two (depending on how much you have to dry, but two would be ideal) to point down on a self-made drying rack. I would use a larger monotub that wasn't in use, but anything that has sides and can protect the fruits from rolling onto a floor or surfaces will suffice. This is optional, but when I used this method I would lay sushi rolling mats across the rack to help keep the fruits in place.
This works great, but I should mention that the ambient humidity of your environment may be something to consider in your chosen method. For instance, I live in a desert.. lol.. so anything works pretty efficiently. More ambient humidity may slow this process down.
Once they are truly dry, grinding the fruits shouldn't be a problem. I like using a mortar and pestle. I'd test out small bits at a time to be sure you have the right dose. Potency can vary from different grows.
I hope this helps, and wishing you success and wellness in your journeys. om, V
