Weird appearance.. some short mushies with funny looking caps . I like all those subtropicalis varieties, you never know what you get..

I'll expand the clone with the wide cap to 6 more plates, save some on cryo vials. I like growing this specie.. doesn't require anything but patience . And I got many genetics from melgo going, devided over 4-5 bags, so I'm curious if I'll get some more funky looking beauties

Xico variety has turned out to be a good fruiter! Pins in 10-14 days, but damn they are slow to grow and mature.
I don't see any spores yet. Let me know if you do. I really want to take prints to share with folks!

Melgo vs. Ambrose subs. Pinned roughly at the same time, Melgo being much faster. But I like the looks of Ambrose better.

That's awesome - I have seen these two general varieties as well I think, in that I have one that grows a bit darker and chunkier and another that grows taller and lighter. The genetics came from different people.

Wow! This is awesome, the difference is crazy It almost looks like two different species!
If you manage to get prints from your Ambrose's grow, I wouldn't mind one To grow and then sample it - see if there's a difference trip wise
Well done Adas

Yeah, these subtrops have all kinds of shapes and sizes.. that is the spice of life. Makes them interesting too, you never know what shape you'll end up with next time. Who knows, maybe we find some fat brutal monstrous subtropicalis one day

lol, AKA, that jar is crazy. some day I hope to grow some semps, and ima be like “guys does this look okay to y’all?” And you’ll be all “yeah man, those are fine, semp myc is different.” And ima still be “I dunno man, looks kinda funny to me.”
And I’ll never be convinced.
Edit: To clarify, I’m not saying I doubt that your jar is clean. I’m joking about a lack of confidence in my own skill as a grower, only having experience with cubes
