What are your Spotify recommendations? 1

So I’m not really a music lover-I’m the kind of guy that prefers white noise to drown out a busy waiting room -(I know, psychotic behavior haha), but I’ve heard good things about music while you journey…curious as to what you listen while you trip. Artists, playlists, genres, Meditation?
I guess if I had to pick I’d say I’d be looking for something instrumental, vibey, lo-fi, soundscape or Solfeggio tone-ish type stuff. All recommendations are welcome…
Any podcasts in regard to psychedelics? All aspects from experience to integration or the psychology behind it. I appreciate any input.

I really like acoustic guitar. Classical guitar especially. Baroque music is awesome too.

Yeeeeaaah I know, it’s weird. TBH it’s not that I don’t like music, it’s just that my tastes are super limited (90’s hip hop and late 90s early 2000 rock/metal). It’s like how many times can I listen to the same damn stuff for 25 fucking years you know? Plus, I’m not in those mental places anymore as I was back then so a lot of it doesn’t really hit those same chords. More of a nostalgia thing. Not to make it worse haha but lyrics don’t really register either, I’m More of a poetry guy. Read a poem and I can feel the chasms of emotion, play me a song and I can’t even understand what they are saying.
I laugh because haha, It was only a few years ago at 40, that I even registered the words of Imagine by the Beatles…beautiful btw.
Thank you so much for the recommendations, I will definitely check them out!

Yeah I can get behind some of that classical guitar stuff too, was playing some at work a while back. (Had to put something on for the clients and it’s nice and chill for 6am)

Fingerspit for the vibes, I didn't realise she made game soundtracks so it makes sense that the atmosphere on this stuff is
All on Spotify too, of course.
Duncan Trussell Family hour podcast enriched my life no end, quite focused on spirituality and whatnot but there's HEALTHY dollops of the psychedelic to be had throughout most every episode
Starting with the recent Daniele Bolelli episode or the Dr. Andrew Gallimore one from December would likely be a good litmus test- just be ready to fast forward until you hear the intro jingle if you don't like abstract intros or weird rants
Happy listening and cheers!

Hmm, instrumental stuff... do you wanna try ambient?
I'd probably say these two are my favorite ambient albums:
They're often grouped in with vaporwave but I'm hesitant to say that's their defining genre. Very relaxing and immersive, listen with open-back headphones for best results :p
I would also say Brian Eno's stuff is really good, but I'm sure that's nothing new. I also love Substrata by Biosphere, but for some reason one of the songs on that album is listed on the "Bad Trip" media section of the Psychonaut Wiki. It's definitely odd and off-kilter but I wouldn't call it frightening or upsetting.
I digress though, all of the stuff listed is on Spotify, and the two I embedded are really soothing, I used to sleep to them every night when I still had speakers in my room!!

Excellent and extremely atmospheric recommendation IMO
They are indeed on Spotify! The question then, is: Sunset Mission or Piano Nights?
100% Sunset Mission for me

Thanks for the recommendations! I really enjoy some of that dark jazz, save for the heavy saxophone stuff which reminds me of the “Dick Tracy/ classic American detective” type genre haha.
Really feeling the biosphere too, I like that low ambient stuff a lot. Appreciate all your input!

i love music but have been mostly using spotify for podcasts and sounds to work and sleep to.
big fan of these podcasts:
the trillbilly worker's party breaking points krystal kyle & friends behind the bastards it could happen here
for work, when i'm not listening to music, i really dig the 2-10 hour binaural audio recordings.
for sleep, spotify has 2-10 hour recordings of white, pink, brown, and green noise. brown noise really helps me sleep. pink noise is great for quiet work.

Love the brown and pink noise for sleep, use them every night. Been listening to the “Being in the way” podcast, all Alan Watts talks. Love me some Watts.
I’ll have to look into those podcasts. Thank you.
