Trump had John Bolton as his National Security Advisor, a man who has never met a war he didn't like. Trump increased drone strikes, nearly started WW3 by assasinating Qasem Soleimani etc.
Again I don't see how you can be certain of your speculation here.
I think Republicans have more of a hardon for China, and Dems for Russia. I personally felt that Clinton wanted to go to war with Russia, and I know many others agreed, but that's just speculation at this point.
Personally, if you think Trump was more of a hawk than Clinton would have been... Well, that just seems too preposterous of an assertion for me to even address.

I mean you haven't addressed it, you just said dems have a hard on for Russia.
If Putin invaded Ukraine while Trump was in office, how do you think he would have responded?

I'm no fan of Trump, I just want to get that out of the way. I think he would have handled things in a much more sane manner... Not sending $100 Billion to Ukraine, or funding a pension fund for Ukrainians.. I mean, it's just absurd what's going on.

He's never been one to shiv the military industrial complex.
I don't think there's any way to predict what Trump would have done, he's not exactly a stable genius although he did call himself one.

Well, considering that he was impeached over delaying military aid that was already earmarked for Ukraine in an effort to strong arm Zelensky into starting investigations into his political opponents...
I think it's pretty clear what he would have done. Specifically: jack shit.

We are sending one or two hundred troops to Taiwan. Not sure what the proper response is. Do we worry about a real global conflict, or make jokes like, China probably doesn't have a very big army anyway.

The correct response is to make jokes. Worrying only harms the worrier. So, let's have them then!
China needs to get rid of some of their young men anyway... After all those years of drowning little girls in the river..

True. I say it's speculation at this point, because she never became president. I'm thankful for that.

The execution video of a Ukrainian soldier going round the twitters is pretty brutal. No wonder they don’t have any ammo, pumping a 100 rounds into one dude.

This guy is one of the most disgusting characters I’ve ever seen on Twitter. I think Falcon was stanning for him at one point.

BBC just reported that for every one Ukrainian killed in Bakhmut, five Russians die. No wonder ukraine is working it so hard.

Due to the terrain it has been a very defensible position.
It seems Ukraine has lost most of the high ground though.

Throwing a meat wall of humans at the enemy is Russia's specialty. And they've got plenty of it.
