I don't hope he does, but I think he will. I think there will be many Red Bull 1-2s. It's just not that interesting when you have the best driver in the best car. I like it when 5 or 6 drivers all have a legitimate chance to win. I hope I'm wrong and it ends up more competitive, but I think many races will look like the one today.

I think this first race already showed that it's going to be more competitive up front. Fernando Alonso shaking things up now, looks like he could get Aston Martin on the podium. Sure last season was all Red Bull vs. Ferrari, and then just Red Bull. I think it's going to be a lot more mix between RB dominating and Mercedes/Aston Martin/Ferrari/McLaren.
Only time will tell, can't wait for the next race!

Definitely was cool to see Alonso do so well in the Aston Martin. Since Stroll did pretty well too, I don't think it was a one race fluke for the AM cars. They did a great job improving their car in the off season. Not a Stroll fan, but Alonso is cool. In any sport, I love to see the old timers being competitive still.

Well... Awesome to see Max make up 13 positions after a disappointing qualifying. I got so mad when they took Alonso's 3rd place away, then SOOO happy when they reversed their decision. RB def ran hard and congrats to Perez's 5th F1 win!

Yeah, I'm glad they gave back Alonso's podium. That was a pretty lame call. If RB is going to win, I'm glad it was Perez, just to have some variety. The whole race just reinforced that RB is in a league of their own again this year. Max's charge was impressive, but not surprising. The only real surprise so far this year is AM's huge progress. Also, I'm a little bit surprised to see that Ferrari seems closer to Mercedes's level, rather than closer to RB.
Looking forward to Australia. Hoping Alonso can grab a podium finish again.

ya, Ferrari slipping bad so far this year. I'm really rooting for George to do well this year, get him as primary with a good support driver. I may eat my words on this as the season progresses... but Hamilton is dunzo, he needs to retire.

Didn't watch. Too old to stay up that late, lol. But reading about it this morning, it did sound quite chaotic. Bummer about Russell's engine. With even Stroll getting 4th, AM definitely has a legit car now. Still surprised about Ferrari's struggles.
