    #2820793 - 06/23/04 02:06 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Ok I'm a newb, last night i inoculated 5 jars.I read some Faqs to place them in dark places and others in indirect light.Right now I have them surrounded in darkness.Does it matter if i put them in light or dark?

Depends whom you ask. I don't think it matters unless you incubate at room temperature in which case early pinning is possible. Otherwise, don't sweat it. Most newbie's are gonna check their jars 20 times a day anyway so what difference is it going to make?

It's true, I check mine like 3 times a day. *sigh* Patience is a virtue...

I only looked at mine once a week on Friday nights. It seemed to make the work week go by faster, I guess because I always had something to look forward to.
