Hereβs a pic I just took of pins coming out of one of my stumps. I use wave scissors and cut each mushroom high enough that I never have to clean. Every cut fruit goes straight onto the dehydrator and oddly, I see just as many new pins from stumps as bare substrate.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Its so simple but I never woulda thought of it. Genius man. I really need to try this. Hand cleaning a couple mediocre tubs ain't a big deal but when I got a large run or dense canopies I always got dirty feet or leaving a bunch on the sub after cutting. I've tried the shake method but that seems to barely work while destroying caps.

Far from genius but i'll take the compliment. Im gonna play around with it again. It would be nice to see other people playing with the idea. Even if they get over a thousand upvotes and give no credit to the shroomery...

It still blows my mind when these things are wrapping up around the 2 week mark.
@Harvest. I dont trim liners so I can just pull the whole thing out in the bag and just run a knife across the surface.
@Trust. Only my wife and kid truly know although I'm sure some friends suspect since I know so much about them. My fam won't help with this hobby. I keep hoping to teach my daughter so she'll always have a skill to use if she needs it and I really believe legal status is just a matter of time. It makes me a little sad tbh, but I can't force her to be interested.

I do the same thing with my daughter... she likes to prep grain, I've taught her the gourmet side of cultivation and she can take transfers... but other than that she's shown no interest

I will hit it up in some sawdust/wheatbran anyway. Want to see what it is xD What would be the best substrate for LM anyway? I have Oak sawdust, strawpellets and wheat bran^^
Don't sweat it, Shrimps. If I messed up I am happy to be called out on it. But I am confident that I sent you Lion's Mane. I have never grown oysters, so it couldn't be that. But if I did make a mistake, I will get another package prepared when my stamps arrive.
I just PMed you some of the same info. I was abroad and not on the boards for a few days.
Here is a picture of the transfer I took from the same plate that I sent your sample from as of the 10th of February. I will send an updated picture when I get home. When I looked at it the other day it was definitely showing some LM pinning.

EDIT: to add pictures of the same plate on Feb 27

Head scratcher.. temps? Fuckit at least you know its lm. Looks clean, they run fast AF. Looking through our bacj and forth posts i see you said you were gonna sterilize lipa tek, Lipa tek doesnt need a sterilizer, the boiling water on already clean pellets is sufficient.
Sterilization is only needed above 10% supplement.
Cold water pasteurization with lime is another super easy option for small batch gourmets.

Thanks Aye!
My temps are around 77F. It's not exactly Lipa Tek, since I am not using hwfp just compressed sawdust. But I am assuming I could go the same way with it.
90%sawdust 10% Supplements (wheatbran mixed into sawdust & grainspawn). (3.5kg total sub = 3.150 kg Sawdust, 250gr Grainspawn, 100gr WheatBran)
So just one question if I may, I can just throw in the Wheatbran with the Sawdust and then just pour the boiling water into it and then when cooled down, inoculate with the grainspawn?
