The sprouts/rosettes look just like poppies, but the lettuce/cabbage doesn't look like it at all, atleast not Papaver Somniferum, maybe a strange variety of Pap Som or a completely different species.

If you insist it is a papaver maybe it could be Orientalis

not insisting, just raising some points we might not have seen, like the seedlings.. usually when people make posts about "my poppies" they're usually opium poppies. So i think we might have been just assuming that.

It could be papaver, but are there other papaver species that don't have serated leaf margins?

Of the three species planted by the I&I.  I have scene differences between varieties and seedlings. Persian whites  long narrow seedling leaves with deep serrated margins.  McConels blue mix rounder less serrated at first. The other noname variety started out with rouund leaves much like yours, they developed into the more common look of pappaver someniferum.

Very interesting.. Once again, I'm probably wrong because i'm not use to seeing any seedlings that look like that.. What variety is that one?

since i collected the adults (with permission) from a farmers feild a year ago, i dont know the variety , but they are the same as the adult shots i posted. also, the ones i collected from a neighbors yard had golf-ball sized pods if that helps.
