Seasoning the mind 3

This is IMO a funny yet largely accurate way to think of our relationship with mind. Each of us "eats" what it is in mind. No choice so long as we're alive but to eat. Nom nom nom.
But we can add/remove seasonings to taste. A dash of hope here, a pinch of compassion there, maybe a little saltiness just because. Now, how do things taste?
Ah, let's try anger, resentment, and bitterness. How's that one taste?
And so on.
There are those who cook for themselves -- I like this taste and that's good enough.
Others cook for others -- I see you like this taste, I'll cook this way again
And some who cook for themselves but enjoy talking to others who cook similarly.
Some judge the way another cooks Some admire the way another cooks Some resent the way another cooks It's all to taste

you know this coddling of self by seeking evidence - proof of personal influence doesn't end well. the seasoning is a quirky habit. no blame.

Coddling of self? Personal influence? What seasonings are you adding here?

the spice of cannibis and elixir of lysergic are my fave seasonings (although monkey shoulder blended whiskey is worth a snort now and then), otherwise I try not to add to or complain about what is natural, and I do what seems suitable but that is the meat of the matter.

Hmm... tastes like crickets.
Just like in my actual cooking- my seasoning maybe DEFINITELY gets overzealous from time to time -when the excitement of creation and level of hunger are too high- at which point I gotta start on the blend again from scratch (with knowledge of where to stop adding).
Hey, so longs it tastes good in the end, and noone got sick from it

Balanced flavor is a perspective of the cook. But others have their sense of balance as well.
Proprioception keeps us upright and is overall very valuable
