Is this bacterial or aerial myc?
    #28184586 - 02/12/23 07:44 PM (1 year, 10 months ago)

Hey guys, been looking around for a couple days now, and I'm confused if what I'm looking at is aerial mycelium or some sort of bacteria. I thought it was trich at first but it hasn't changed color for a couple days, doesn't seem to be doing any harm with all the primordia, and also seems to be coming directly off the mycelium while also looking completely different/non-rhizomorphic. When I put it to FC I didn't see any mist on the surface, so I misted and this showed up right after. I am colonizing 2 other shoeboxes and they don't have the white fuzz, but neither did these before misting. Doesn't smell like anything other than humid substrate.

I think it's probably too humid as well so I haven't misted it again, just been fanning but if anyone with more experience could help out, that would be awesome

Ive seen this before, pretty sure its just mycelium in response to bacteria. Ive gotten flushes out of tubs like that but yeild usually suffers alot

Yeah those tubs look bacterial. I think the misting is a correlation but not the causation for the appearance of the myc in this case.
