Funky agar?

This is RustyWhite, 2nd transfer started from spore swab. This particular cup was started on 2/7. I think there's some pretty good looking myc here, but I'm concerned about the cloudy white filmy stuff you can see around the edges. I used the no-pour oven tek method to create these agar cups and a few showed contamination after a couple days. Is that what I'm seeing here? Is it worth going ahead with this cup or should I trash it? Thanks for your advice!

That's a huuuge chunk of transfer, which:
- gives you less room to work - less time to take a transfer from the leading edge without it hitting the sides of the plate - more likely that you brought a contam from the donor plate
From what I've read, that spikey look (rhizomorphic growth) can be a sign that it's trying to outrun a contam, but I also think it can happen naturally when the myc sectors against itself...
I'd suggest taking smaller transfer samples, trying to get them dead-center in the plate, and transferring away when the myc is a comfortable distance from the source transfer. I've read that water agar can be great for this because since there's no nutrients, the myc has to grow a lot faster to explore, and that means you can jump on it sooner.
Check out D3's perfect transfer tek and get a punch like his - then you can easily take consistent sized transfers. I pick them up with a syringe needle on the end of a long nail.
