First grow and I am disappointed!

Hello everyone. This is my first grow. These are Golden Teachers. I was really happy to see the pins for the very first time. I picked a few of them that were big enough and their veils were broken or about to be broken and put them in the dehydrator.

Then I thought I really can't pick the ones that have grown to maturity and wait for the others. So after a day where there were more mushrooms, I picked all of them including the small ones, I forgot to take their photo in the tub but did take a photo of them before they went into the dehydrator.

It was a 25-liter box with a 2-1 substrate-to-spawn ratio and now I have 22 grams of crispy dried mushrooms in a jar. I don't think I have to dunk or anything because I can see plenty more pins forming that were probably part of the same flush that was behind the schedule I guess. So I will get more. But the thing is after this I have been feeling disappointed for not doing well. I would have wanted bigger mushrooms than the few below-average and plenty of short ones I got. What could I do to improve??? Because I am gonna do it again for sure.
Things that I have on my list include firstly, working on Agar to get some ropey rhizomorphic growth instead of the fluffy tomentose I had this time as I used spore print to make a syringe for my first grow. Would this bring any significant improvement??? Second on the list is a better temperature setting, for which I won't have to do much as the weather has become much better. Earlier I was using a heating mat as the temperature here was way too low, and I kept on giving it temperature shocks which was not a good idea (the heating mat has no advanced settings and I had to manually turn it on and off. Third on the list is using a garbage bag inside the tub so it could stick to the substrate to avoid that gap in which I got plenty of side pins.
Could you please take the time to give me directions or pointers to the things I could do to improve my next grow??? Thank you!

dont heat the tub, heat the space around it
cleaner spawn and higher sub ratios give better flushes
a lot comes down to genetics. select big fruits from tight clusters, clone, print, repeat. just looking for rhizo isnt going to do anything
good luck!
