One of my cultures took 4 MONTHS to pin Could have been bad techniques, but I have another container and it's also been sitting for good 2+ months now with no activity.

Then you are likely looking at closer to 14-18 days for colonization, depending on a number of factors.

Haha, I don't think mine have ever taken that long but I do think I had one take like 8-10 weeks to pin. I think I told the story here once or twice - had to remove it from the tent, let the casing dry out completely (talking bone dry), re-saturate it and put it back in the tent. It pinned like 24-48 hours later. A lot of it depends on the culture, and on conditions. Can't wait to share some pics of a new line I'm growing. First flush is growing some serious FATTIES!

I read it is worth the trouble. I surely had a lot of trouble with the print I was working from. Eventually after many failed non-germing/weak af/contamed to death plates, something came good in the end

Bluing myc:
Two of these were inoculated on 1/1 (38 days) and the other was on 1/27 (12 day old). Both were shaken for the first time 24 hours before this picture.
I am planning to let these grains go for a couple of months and then try a myceliated grain tea. Hoping it will be a nice short cut for making gummies.
Edit: Damn, picture upload still being wonky. Will update the post when it resolves if needed. Edit: Edit: picture working now. I didn't do nothing.

I got pins under 2 weeks from spawn to bulk. Pretty jazzed about it! Also on the topic of patience, they are very slow growing after they pin. They've been up for days but are still under 2cm.

Had space available to let some go for a second flush glad i did as they came in with some monsters, at least for me, some of the caps were nearly half dollar sized, finally getting around to trying to print some as of writing. A solid 3 weeks these have been growing. Think Iβll leave one around to see how long it can go. Iβm so used to quick turnaround gotta start reevaluating how I can keep these in better rotation. Not a bad problem I suppose.

do these mushrooms really like to get wet? it looks like it? and the caps are upwards, but there seems no spores dropping in these pictures?

I find they like it rather wet, Iβve started doing them a bit dryer than tamps or mexicana though, which I thoroughly soak twice a day. These Iβve opted for a more medium drenching mist twice a day. Essentially getting the caps nice and glistening without much excess pooling or dripping. The caps will turn dark after some time, they will take a second to start dropping spores after the caps have opened. The picture I shared above had their caps open for like a week or so before the gills darkened and spores were visible on some caps/stems.

Side note finally got around to trying out the uv light on these guys, yβall werenβt lying, that shit is crazy! Not the best picture but that green glow is so eerie, does not show up on younger mushrooms only the older ones.
