Mycelium growing up the walls?
    #28174452 - 02/06/23 06:44 AM (1 year, 11 months ago)

Is this normal? Tub went into fruiting conditions 4 days ago. This is my first grow so I don't really know what I'm looking at? Does everything look healthy?

I’m pretty new to this but both tubs I’ve done so far have done the same and were just fine. Both produced pretty good size fruits too so🤞 yours will too! You got this!

Thanks for the quick reply and encouragement Ty. That's good to hear. I wasn't sure and I haven't seen it happen on many other grow posts. I think it might be because i forgot to use a liner.

No it's not because of the liner.

It's most likely due to the conditions in the tub not being ideal.

The inflatable monotubs are not great, you should allow more fae.

Thanks DERRAYLD, I plan on making a mono tub. I just got an inflatable for a quick and easy first grow. I'll try giving more fae.

You can remove the plugs they supply and use very lightly balled up poly for the holes.

Yes I removed the stoppers when it went into fruiting conditions and replaced with the foam supplied with the mono. The mycelium started growing up the walls when the bulk sub was colonizing, but i had the tub covered over with blankets to stop the light getting in. Maybe not enough gas exchange? I fanned the tub when i changed to fruiting conditions.

You shouldn't cover the tub at all, we introduce light from the start and do everything in light now.
You're suffocating the tub by covering it in a blanket.

Fanning is not necessary,  that's why you have fae holes.
