What's the ideal age to start tripping for the first time?

I'm 35. I only learned a few months ago about the benefits of psychedelics, so I couldn't/wouldn't have started any sooner than this.

What would you consider the ideal age to get into the tripping habit? 20, 30, 40?

There is no ideal age.
You do whatever you want, no one needs to tell you what you can or can't enjoy.
There's too young but that's more from a brain development standpoint.

I'd say younger people tend to be more open and receptive to new experiences and new ways of thinking. For instance, look at the Age of Change graphic at https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2009/04/27/faith-in-flux/

It's a bit of an extrapolation of course, but based on that, under 24 is best, 25-35 is next best, etc.

Of course, these are just tendencies among the general population. I'm of the opinion any age is good for a first experience. My expectation is that you'd find it easier to talk a 21 year old into a first experience than you would a 60 year old though.

I'm curious about This as well. My daughters friend is 14 and has some pretty impactful trauma. And with years of counselling is still broken in many ways.
No interest in drugs or have any drug influencing friends. But her parents are telling her she can start smoking pot for anxiety when she gets older.

If I suggest it I would be burned at the stake by the public.

Hoping it finds her or something.

let her find her own way, share your knowledge about how ordinary things you understand work, and leave the more esoteric questions to arise on their own.

A lot of people trip for the first time right around the time they do other things, like fuck, drink, smoke weed, steal, fight, get arrested. Some time between 14 and 18. Those are the trial and error years when you're figuring out how to live your life. It's good to have some experience by the time you call yourself an adult.

My oldest knows I have used mushrooms quite a bit. I gave them some awareness of fentanyl but the info scared them. They aren't the high school party type yet 🥴. I hope she feels like she can talk to me
