I want to begin this journal with a thank you to everyone that has contributed to everything I've read, which is quite a bit. I can become a bit obsessive in new hobbies. So, thank you. I am interested in microdosing as well as recreational use.
This will be my first attempt of any kind. My initial thought was to use an AIO bag or kit, buy a bunch a pre-made stuff and mix like 3 different Teks. I was quickly pointed in the right direction.
I have decided to use BRF tek, from Ziran, I believe, and a water tub, Mateja I believe. Everything will commence this weekend. I have all my supplies, I believe.
MSS ( AA+, APE, Golden Teach and Treasure Coast)
BRF
Vermiculite
Coir
Wide mouth 10oz jars ( combo of size and value)
Sterilite 66qt
Iso 70
Spray bottles
Some jars will be PC'ed and some will be steamed as all my jars will not fit in one. Plus it'll give me the chance to experiment with steam vs PC (just for my own knowledge).
I'm not an overly sensitive person so I can take the criticism and appreciate your opinions. Please feel free to follow along. I hope this journal and my grow go as well as what has educated me thus far. Just as the myc grow I hope my knowledge does as well.

Today it has begun. With the 2:1:1 ratio (cups) of verm, brf and water I was able to load 6 10oz wide mouth jars and 1 baby jar. They are currently steaming for 2 hours. I will inoculate tomorrow morning with MSS of Treasure Coast or APE. I haven't decided yet. Thanks for the support. I'll load pictures once I figure out how.

So I inoculated 6 jars with with Treasure Coast this morning and have then in a closet. I used the entire syringe, not in purpose. I hope I didn't over do it. I know this isn't much of an update but it'll help keep me in check I think.
The basket they're in currently is just to keep them tidy while in storage. Grow baby grow.

Nothing to update aside from my growing anticipation. I decided I wouldn't look at the jars for 1 week minimum, that seems to be about the average based on what I've read. They're in a dark closet. The light could be turned on if needed. My house temp ranges 68-75f. Hopefully some healthy myc is growing.

Just thought I would update this. It's been 10 days since in inoculated them. It's going a little slower than I expected but I don't think the temperature has been ideal plus I'm sure I'd some mistakes. Here's some pictured. Some are much better than others. 6 jars in total.

So it's been 18 days since inoculation. How do these look so far? I think #5 has a weird brown spot near the top. Is that metabolites? I know it's a lot of pictures. 6 jars in total, any suggestions? Thanks.

They all look good to me. I'm not seeing a brown spot. The dry verm will fall as the cakes shrink

Number 4 looks fucked to me. Doesn't look like metabolites, too goopy. My money is on a compromised verm layer. Only have a few grows under my belt though, so take that as you will.

Yeah I separated #4 from the rest. Since it's my first grow I'm going to let it ride out and see what occurs as a learning experience. Thanks for input.

I wound up birthing and soaking 5 cakes last night. Just coated them in hydrated coir and put in water tub. The contaminated jar is going to be buried outside. Here they are.
I'd like to add I'm currently ordering everything for A2G. Fingers crossed.
