Water tub tek - proceed to fruiting conditions or wait?

I took these cakes out of the 24 hr soak and into the fruiting chamber 48 hours ago. I did a poor job with the vermiculite coating, I packed and squeezed it on but most of it would still fall right off except for the layer stuck directly to the cake. I did order some coir to have for next time. I’m not seeing the puffy mycelium growth like the pics in the tek. Most of what you’re seeing in the pic is the mycelium that grew while it was in the jar. My question is should I still proceed with moving to fruiting conditions or should I wait a little longer? The container I’m using has an air tight lid with a seal, it hasn’t been opened since I originally put the cakes in

Let them breath dude. Fruiting conditions from the start is the new norm.

Ok thanks for the info. I’ve read that entire thread and still have some questions as there seems to be a lot of back and forth and the creator of the tek isn’t active right now.
Just comparing it to the SGFC - misting and fanning several times a day but with the WT you do not fan at all and only maybe once a day or once every other day?

The WT is holding the humidity in while the SGFC is full of holes and without a shit ton of cakes in it lets too much FAE occur and dries things out. Tbh, I've never used one and don't get all the intricacies of the SGFC but all the holes seems like too much work both to make and to maintain using it.
Fanning is a thing of the past, all it does is dry things out to make you mist more.

So I am not seeing any condensation other than immediately after I mist. Is that normal or should I still be seeing condensation on the walls the next day? These are what my cakes and fruiting chamber set up look like. I had it in this tightly sealed container for 48 hours until advised to just go straight to fruiting conditions. I misted the cakes about 6 hours ago and there’s no visible droplets on the cakes or fruiting chamber. I’ve been reading to be patient with it but I feel like my micro climate isnt sufficient enough (due to lack of visible condensation). Should I continue what im doing and mist once per day, or do is look like i need to mAke some changes? Also the gaps between the upside down lid and chamber, too large? What if I drill a hole in each corner of the lid and then put it back on properly?

They look a little dry to me. Usually when properly watered you can see the very small water particles on the verm when you zoom in. I'm not seeing that. I wouldn't drill the holes. What's the conditions in your room? Temps? Ceiling fans? AC vent?
Also... is there an inch of water in tub? I can't see that either.

Temp is in the high 60s and yes there is 1” of water. I’ve been trying to take it light on misting after reading about people over misting them but I guess I’m going too light. I even see some people misting every other day and I’ve been misting these first thing in the morning and right before bed so I figured I was over misting but maybe I’m just not delivering enough mist when I do it 🤷🏻♂️ . I have an SGFC right next to this one in the closet and the cakes are looking fantastic but I’m misting the fuck out of that. I’m excited to learn about this water tub and get it dialed in so I can ditch the SGFC in the future

Once again I’m not seeing any condensation on the walls of the tub. I gave these a healthy misting last night and there was none this morning so I re-misted about 4 hours ago and this is what I’m seeing. No condensation on the tub walls or the cakes. I only see condensation (cakes and tub) right after misting. Should I be expecting to see condensation on the tub at all times? Maybe my air gaps in the lid are too big?

i would seal it up until you see pins then leave the lid ajar when they start pinning and fruiting. it takes a bit of patience for everything in this hobby.

Ok I’ll try that out. My last few grows I’ve seen them pinning in the jars and then I birth them and these were higher yielding grows (as far as BRF cakes are concerned) with multiple flushes from each cake. There were no pins on these ones and a birthed them because they were full colonized and had been 6-7 weeks post innoc. I will re seal it back up. I’m not concerned about the lack of pins right now, my main concern is the lack of visible condensation. I’ve read threads where there is visible condensation on the tub walls and they talk about being careful not to over mist but it’s hard for me to find the sweet spot right now since I only see condensation on the cakes immediately after I mist. Maybe I birthed them too early? I’m not sure but I’ll try sealing it back up and see what happens
