whats the best dunk tek? i want to do a bleach and water or peroxide and water dunk, unless theres something better. so whats the best tek?

1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide for 10 parts water works fine...wouldnt really call it a "tek" tho, as it is quite easy

id of course be using a samll amount of bleach, like hippy's bleach tek. i know not to use half bleach or anything like that.

Can you show me the link where you use bleach? That sounds like a death sentence for those poor cakes. :mushroom2:

I like to dunk and roll. I use straight tap water, no peroxoide. I feel i dont need any since i use city water, as it is already highly-chemicalized:)

I wonder if rolling (letting a thin layer of vermiculite or whatever stick to the whole cake) is necessary or not, but i do it simply bacause it seems right. The mycellium grows on the coating a little, and makes it easier to see how much new white-stuff is growing also, so you can adjust humidity as needed.

im not doing cakes, so i wont be doing a dunk and roll. the rolling serves a purpose though sub; the verm holds water and also helps the cake to more easily fruit evenly and on all sides. i think peroxide and distilled water will be my choice. Coffee sounds inticing bc it would add more nutrients (not sure if i believe the caffiene theory) but i think im going to opt for a non-nutritious dunk. im going to be casing and just want to get the right moisture before doing so and the substrate will be a little dry if left as is so im going to be doing the dunk for about 12 hours rather than a 24 hour dunk.
