Noob Here - Suspicious of Grain Jar, should I case in jar?

How fucked over are these jars? I'm a 100% suspicious of them, as: 1.) They're my first jars, the corn was wetter than reccomended. 2.) I didn't have a SAB at the time of inoculation 3.) Used a spore syringe 4.) The first 7-11 days I didn't have a proper spot to keep them warm, the temperatures have been 30 - 50ยฐf, and, without blasting my heat in my apartment 24/7 It usually doesn't stay consistently above 71ยฐ in here. So I had them directly in-front of the heater, but, I think that just did weird shit to the popcorn kernels. They've been in a TIT for the past week and a half, and, it seemed like it helped. They reached ~45% colonization and I did a B&S on the 26th, they bounced back within the next day and a half (or so -- I was super busy the next few days and didn't really check on it after the first day I peeked).
There's no off odors I could notice, no odd colors, I've been checking for cobweb, but I'm not sure I can properly identify Trich. One jar also got these, like, weird little spikey urchin looking growths at the top of the jar???? I tried to get a good photo without too much glare.
I'm not feeling confident enough to take these to substrate -- I'd still like to salvage it if I can. Would it be advised to fruit in jar with a case layer?
inoculated on 01/09, B&S on 01/24 -- strain is Pink Buff.
((I've since inoculated a few other jars and agar plates with MASSIVELY improved cleanliness, SAB, bleach cleaned my entire apartment, ran an air purifier for several hours before starting, wore a mask, showered, wiped everything down, lysol'd the SAB, the entire works. I was careful the first time, but, a little overeager/cocky. I also absolutely fucked up a few agar cups with some gnarly looking bacteria that also contributed to the entire scrubdown humbling))

Just your process alone suggests we throw it away. The wet grains is another indicator. You really shouldn't have them in front of a fan blowing heat, that's no bueno.
Better luck with round 2. Try to keep a steady workflow to avoid long dry spells.
-------------------- If you've never grown mushrooms before, here's how you start. First, follow the Updated PF Tek, put 4 holes in jar lids not 1, and use a water tub!
The next move is Shoebox Tek. After that you move onto grains, agar, monotubs. Agar is easy, just do it.

Top it with coir and maybe something will grow.
Dont count on it tho.

Thanks! I have a friend w/ a farm and horses+cattle whose gonna be taking all my fucked up jars and tossing them into hpoo+hay for shits 'n giggles, I'll hand them off today.
Also, good to know! After the four corn jars -- I switched to WBS, Rye, and BRF Cakes -- I've got roughly 12 or so jars going from different days and 30 agar plates going. Figured carefully working with quantity would be good incase I majorly fuck up again.
Directly infront of the heater probably wasn't the best way to describe it, I had them in a small postal box that was sitting rather precariously on a stack of towels/cheesecloth with a small plastic tote over all of that. And all of that was on an end table infront of said heater. Still a pretty terrible set up, tho. Thought the cheesecloth would help with letting enough airflow in while the tote would keep anything else from getting in.
And purely because I'm morbidly curious -- do you have any thoughts on what the hell I managed to spawn in this or what caused it to get so stressed out it went urchin on me?

Popcorn is hard to fully hydrate. You gotta pc it an hour unjarred then pc it in jars another 90 minutes. Its hard as fuck and if it doesnt het hydrated it doesnt properly sterilize throughout. Prob your spore syringe to grain played a role as well.
Wbs is a good "grain"/sees for growing. Easy and fast to hydrate. Youre on the right track.

Thanks for the input, everyone!
I'm not gonna bother with casing the jars -- they're getting handed off to a friend. I also have some remaining spore syringes from the batch -- those are getting tossed, too. I got two syringes and a spore swab -- I've taken all three to multiple agar plates, and all of three of them, without fail, have been massively fucked over each time with some yellowish growth ((yeast??))that starts before any mycellium from the drop point.
Checked this morning --My spore swabs I put to agar a week ago ((with much more thoughtful and smart sterile procedures than the initial runs)) had the same start of yellowish growth that all the other plates did at the beginning from the MSS I got. I'm probably also going to toss the BRF tek jars + wbs jars I used the syringes on, too. A bit dissapointing, but, I've got a couple other strains from a different vendor that have been doing swell so far -- on rye and agar.

Watch out with the heater. Room temp is fine.
And your old jars have bacteria in them it seems.
Using agar and proper grain prep should help with that. or go the pf tek route.

I ended up keeping two jars and cased them w/coir. Forgot about them for a week and a half, checked on them a few days ago and one jar is trying its damndest:
These photos are from Friday -- a lot of side pins:

And a photo from this morning of the progress of the pins on top.

If these fully mature -- is it worth it to take tissues samples from the inside to agar or take spore prints? Or will anything from these in the future be contaminated?
