My FOAF's kit is doing fine albeit slower then HolyDriver's. Ours had to deal with extreme temperature fluctuations initialy. From 60'~85' generally, however a few times they reached 90s. We now have an anatomy book as a buffer for the heat source and it stays 82.5'~86'. It is doing much better than initially.

I can safely say that overheating and underheating can play a huge part in the rate of growth. I will post our results when we get our first flush. Sorry wish I had my own digital camera. I still can't believe how HolyDrivers look after 72 hours wow.

Thanks Eddie,
Quick info note: You might be able to see from the pictures that I covered the sides of the compost with a black garbage bag doubled up (outside of container of course) to prevent side pinning as you can see at T.H.E. under the instructions page for D.B. kit. Are you doing this also?

We used good old duct tape. :-)
