Yeah man that's really cool, and if you just have some money laying around I'd say buy it and mess around. Do I think it's worth buying? Not for me, personally. I don't think you are going to increase yields with this thing. It also seems like just too much for relatively easily grown mushrooms like cubes and pans.

For the sake of achieving aesthetic characteristics, I would consider the model above. For a less aesthetic, more yield-oriented model, this one will probably work...

If you want something better and bigger, why not just build your own martha tent/rack and put a water bubbler beneath it? You can add the hygrometer if you want but its useless. A piece of toiletpaper is more than enough to tell you the humidity is good. That looks like high tech but its really just a couple of kilos of expencive plastic/metal cut to pieces and glued together by bored nerds. It is pretty though. I'll give them that. A good decaroration on the shelf of a growshop?
-------------------- Seems like 99% of people in shroomery mushcult use the Bucket Tek. I do not and for saying this they call me arrogant cause i dont have pictures of my own mushrooms here. The mycoforum of my country just got their proof of shroomerys hostility. I do like it here though becaus of the agar. The archives are valuable.

Some of the things I've noticed worldwide among the Earth's citizenries is poverty mentality (being stingy permanently), a lack of achieving an aesthetic setting, and debasing interactions. For those involved in psychedelic fungi, I strongly urge you to be mindful of not falling into poverty mentality. I also strongly recommend achieving an aesthetic setting for you and your mushrooms. A positive mental intention coinciding with positive thoughts and uplifting words is also very helpful. Let's not call each other names. Let's not criticize something we haven't tried that is quite harmless. Cheers!

In case you're missing my point I'm just gonna go ahead and outright state it.
These products are useless, at best they preform as well as our regular fruiting chambers. In general though, they seem to preform worse. For a ton of money.
They are straight up predatory, making promises they can't keep aimed at newbies cause no one with any experience will buy this. They also won't help teach newbies anything about cultivation or proper fruiting conditions.
Looks wise, you can get some beautiful grows that are just as automated for much less. Try a fish bowl for example or a simple cloche style terrarium from a home decor store.
Please stop giving these scams publicity

I don't think they are scams. I do agree that they are over-priced to the point of being offensive and aggressive. However, that's the world we live in today. That doesn't make them scams. Also, since neither of us has tried these systems, we should probably be neutral rather than being overly positive or overly negative about them. I personally no longer grow fungi. I only hunt them and study them, and I do taxonomy. I don't need them any longer. If I did grow, I would buy the top model and try it out, or try to build my own system based on it. Mushrooms look amazing in some chambers, and they look less amazing in others.

No, they are definitely scams. No need to try them. Their promotional materials show enough about how poorly they grow mushrooms and that's a clear indication that they were not designed by someone proficient in cultivation. They are just a money grab that preys on newbies

What if a bunch of people who own their own successful restaurants, and who happen to be very wealthy, now want to buy models like this? There are tiers of financially viable people who would buy these systems for multiple reasons. From their perspective, pre-built and automated systems may very well be something for them, and well within their price range.
Other people may wish to build their own system out of pride or for the enjoyment. If someone ends up finding out how to make highly similar systems, thanks in part to the Mella entrepreneurs who inspired a Youtube video, that could be a positive thing.

I'm sure they would buy them, people with means get scammed all the time too.
Financially and practically there are no reasons to buy this for anyone. These will not produce on any sort of large scale like for the needs of a restaurant.

This whole objectivity thing is just, sounds like a bunch of bs to me. Make simple things more simple, not less simple, simple. lol you don't gotta get defensive when a product gets slammed for being unwieldy as shit and redundant in 2023 when someone comes in here touting these insanely expensive alternatives to a $20 tub the tendency is it gets stfd pretty quick down. no offense

What you call poverty mentality I call self sufficiency and DIY ethic. This container is a scam and a total waste of money. Unless you like wasting money for the purposes of showing off that you don’t have a “poverty mentality.” Ugh this whole paragraph you wrote just stinks of entitlement. Just the phrase poverty mentality pisses me off. And then you say let’s not call each other names but then accuse us of having a poverty mentality because we like DIY instead of overpaying for something “pretty.”

Is it true that mushrooms can grow out of these contraptions and look better than some other growing methods? Yes.
Is everyone broke for not wanting to waste money on something inefficient and unnecessary that just looks pretty? No.
Is there a market of people with money who know nothing about mushrooms and want to have some cool conversation piece? Yes.
Are the members of this forum who are aware of how many mushrooms they can grow, for way cheaper, with better results, part of the market that would have any interest in this sort of product? No, absolutely not.
Basically, if you want to feel good about some product, great, but do it with other people who will feel the same way. Play to the crowd, so to speak.
This is like going into a funeral home and trying to sell automated coffins to the undertaker or whichever wrestler makes the coffins. The dude is not your market, and he doesn't respect wasting time and money while overcomplicating something simple. Then you call him poor because he didn't want your bullshit.
So, is it a forum full of assholes, or an asshole in the wrong forum?
-------------------- If you've never grown mushrooms before, here's how you start. First, follow the Updated PF Tek, put 4 holes in jar lids not 1, and use a water tub!
The next move is Shoebox Tek. After that you move onto grains, agar, monotubs. Agar is easy, just do it.
