Best microdosing protocol for consistency 1

I'm curious to what real world personal experiences users have had with getting consistent therapeutic results from a regular microdosing protocol that most closely mimics the consistency of taking prescription medication daily.
I've heard that many people have replaced their prescription medications (typically antidepressants and anxiolytics) with a microdosing protocol, and are better off for it.
I'm also curious about tolerance. I know that if you take a "standard" dose of a psychedelic like mushrooms or LSD, that if you take the same dose the next day, it will have far less of an affect, and it seems that something similar has been determined to happen when microdosing.
(See Evidence for tolerance in psychedelic microdosing from the self-blinding microdose trial)
Has anyone tried a protocol that increases the dose to compensate before a break period to reset the tolerance? For example, a low microdose on day one, a medium microdose on day two, a high microdose on day three, and then a four day break to reset?
Thanks in advance!

Sometimes I wonder if increasing a micro dose over time could actually be beneficial?
What I noticed at first microdosing was a very calming relaxed feeling. Not at all high or impaired in any way, just calm, mellow, and go with the flow.
After a few sessions that went away.

This is interesting.. So am I correct that the “break period” that is proposed while microdosing is due to the observed effect we see while macro dosing, where one no longer has a noticeable high? The noticeable high is obviously due almost exclusively to binding with the 5-HT serotonin receptor. What if the effects of micro dosing are independent of the classical binding to the 5-HT receptor and are instead mediated by other receptor pathways? Or alternatively does it really matter if there is constant low level stimulation of the 5-HT? I’m thinking this may be different than macro doses which occupy such a large number of the receptor. If either of these possibilities are correct then might it be possible to get better results from daily dosing?
