Pins underneath cakes?
    #2815778 - 06/22/04 01:08 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Just this morning my cakes started pinning. But the odd thing is that they are only pinning near the bottoms of the cakes. I thought this was odd, so I picked them up, and there are dozens of pins growing underneath! One of them is about an inch long! Is this OK? Should I flip them over?

Hmm. I'd flip them over. Seems logical to assume they can't grow if they don't have anywhere to grow.

I wouldnt take them out and play with them man. Wear gloves and all that if you flip them over. Or you might end up with contaims.

just let them grow out from under the cake. they'll find light and head towards it. Some of my biggest fruits have been ones that came from under the cakes or pieces of compost. They can be a bitch to pic sometimes, because you have to life up the substrate. But just wait until harvest time to fuck with it.
