Thanks that's helpful
My point was you may want to watch for this to happen in real time and make sure you're appropriately positioned in order to take advantage and not end up over exposed whichever way the charts go, if say for instance you hold nothing but shit coins and no bitcoin or vice versa when the time is right

I'm wondering if I should trade my ETH for BTC, I really don't know where ETH is going anymore but I'm like 60/40 ETH/BTC and not sure if that's good. I really wanna just play it safe as a long term store of value/savings.

Personally I would feel more comfortable staying exposed to all levels, btc and eth at the top and some low ball alts that have been staying alive throughout this bear market
Just me personally
If everything but btc starts ripping hard how will you feel about going all in on btc ?
Just seems better to keep SOME higher risk exposure
Eth seems pretty safe atm and chart wise doesn't look much different than any other coin

Thanks for the input, yeah I think I'll keep what ETH I have and just DCA my money for the next few months into BTC only. I don't mess with any other altcoins as I simply don't know enough about the market to risk it. Crypto is basically my only retirement fund. And there ain't much in there lol

BTC is the most conservative way to play this inherently high octane (read: risky & volatile) asset class. In other words, simply by investing in crypto, you are already taking a high risk, potentially high reward position; and BTC is the de facto way to do so.
Ethereum is a close second, and I would argue contains some potential alpha (aka outperformance versus the benchmark that is BTC), because of its broader use cases and lower respective valuation presently. In other words, it has a bit more room to grow, but only if it executes well on development which in turn inspires accelerated adoption for various use cases.
All other non-stablecoin crypto assets are considerably more speculative, but I do think it is worthwhile to dedicate at least 5-10% of your portfolio to one of these issues. The reason being, is that a blowup costing you 5-10% of your portfolio won't kill you, but the potential for a 500-1000% gain on that 5-10% of your portfolio is an appealing risk:reward ratio. Now of course, most speculative crypto assets are not going to see those returns. But if you choose carefully, it surely does happen, and has indeed happened to me on more than one occasion, although I will concede that this was largely because I was early to expose myself to this asset class, and was able to ride the big initial hype cycles that essentially lifted everything to insane heights.
If you are interested in putting a part of your portfolio in a low valued start-up crypto network, I would look toward KOINOS, as it does offer some unique attributes such as fee-less usage via a regenerative token system, the ability to code contracts in a multitude of common programming languages (which can in turn unlock a broader developer community if/when the project starts to gain traction, thereby accelerating growth once it has reached critical mass), short block production times which allows for faster response time in real world use, an ability to amend itself with network updates without having to undergo a hard fork, as well as being fairly well decentralized without a programmed "pre-mine" or huge foundation lockup that would otherwise dictate ownership and control over the network.

Thanks for the tips! Although, right now 5-10% of my portfolio would be about $100 not much money to invest when you're living paycheck to paycheck, but a small gamble like that could be a nice reward!
