They have some safety issues right out of the box, see my post here. Biggest issues are that the wiring / quality control inside is really terrible, it'll run while the top is open, and it's ungrounded with an unpolarized plug despite having a metal case.
If you're willing to make some small modifications I think it's a good deal still.

Does a Nutribullet achive the same quality? I mean, it's mostly because of the 6 blades and the high speed?

Nutribullet works well but it won't process a lot of dry material, it's designed to use moisture to create a slurry enabling the material to easily flow around the container. The bottom portion of the material will be powder and the rest will just stay there.

Be safe! I wouldn't recommend digging into it if you're not comfortable doing so.
It's probably alright if you make sure to always keep it unplugged except when in use. Maybe take a peek at the fuse terminals when you first get it to make sure the attached wires aren't about to pop off.

I like the swing design ones, almost got one like that instead. Looks like the same fuse, timer switch, and neon power indicator so I bet the internals are really similar.
Would love to see how that one works if you pick it up.
Edit: Also curious if it arrives branded. Mine has "Homend" on it which is different than the name it was sold under. I bet all of these come from the same manufacturer.

First have to convince my lady that I need this for my hobby xD
She thinks I have a problem with spending too much for this hobby, but I can't tell here I am saving up for the engagement ring xD So I just always tell here I bought alot of shit for this hobby. She isn't that happy when I tell her I want to buy something new ^^
Give it maybe a month, then I asked the question and I can spend my money again more freely xD

My nephew is an electrician, maybe he can take a look at the interior then ?
I havenāt modified the wiring on mine because Iām lazy. Mine is disconnected by a wall switch when not in use, but yes, itās not an electrically safe device. The same model does come in a version with safety switches for the lid, but it costs $100 more. If you want a safe grain mill without messing with the wiring yourself, just be sure to get one thatās listed by UL or any other reputable lab.

I have the swing version and itās labeled Goldenwall.
Seems to be the same manufacturer as the others on Amazon.
Speaking of a UL listed one, anybody know of one? Any one use a flour mill style grinder like these:

Vitamix makes a grain mill beaker for their blenders. I actually have one and it's wonderful but I use it for food.
There are grain mill PTO attachments for kitchen aid stand mixers.
There are nutrimill grain mills but they look like they have a hopper that wouldn't accommodate larger stuff like whole dried mushrooms so you'd have to preprocess them a bit.
There are professional burr mills and ball mills that would do the trick.
All of these cost $$ though unfortunately.

I guess I got lucky with my coffee grinder cause mine powders to practically the exact consistency of these fkn mills... perfectly powdered.
Powders an ounce in a few seconds
Wouldn't need more than that and if I did just whack another ounce in and go another few seconds

My coffee grinder did not do a great job. My cheap Chinese grain mill powders fluffy soft and fine but Iām not into the blades as they heat the mushrooms and are cheaply built and dangerously wired.
Just looking for a more pleasant experience in powdering my dried fruits.
Fortunately I have some disposable income for my hobbies. The link in my previous post includes the kitchen aid grain mill and Iām thinking of getting one.
I have a blendtec (not a vitamix). I was thinking a rough chop in the blender and then a run through the grain mill.
I guess Iāll just get one and see.

This little $20 coffee grinder does the trick for my needs. Grinds it down to a nice fine powder in seconds. Like Guerrilla said. If I need more just pop another ounce in. Pair that with a 100 ct capsule machine and Iām In business.

But wear a mask when you open that thing. You get a little mushroom cloud when the top comes off.

How much were you grinding at a time? I have that same Krups that Hillbilly posted a picture of, and I have to grind at least 4 grams at a time for it to work well. (That is with pans, not cubes, so maybe that changes things.)

The first time I made powder for pills I did 20g in a blendtec and it worked amazing for a fine powder. The second time I only used 4g and couldnt get the mushrooms to actually blend, they floated above the blades and barely chopped up.
Also, many reviews are suggesting that the mockmill is a better mill attachment than the kitchenaid one, should anyone consider them.

Good point ruawakeyet & cooleko.
Too little and the coffee grinder doesn't work well. Eventually for massive amounts I used at ninja food processor similar to this one. ninja on zon The results are not as fine as the powder in the grain mill picture, but it was fine for making capsules and compressing for long term vacuum sealed storage.

Definitely get a dust cloud from it. I let it set for several minutes before I open to minimize the cloud. As for how much at a time I just break them up by hand and cram it pretty full. Fairly powerful little contraption.
