ChatGPT,
Can you do "X" for me?
"Yes, I can."
Where automation has traditionally taken low skill and blue collar jobs, the new wave of AI will eventually be threatening those with college degrees in almost every possible field of expertise, software development, accounting, medical and surgical, education, engineering, etc.
Have you interacted with ChatGPT? It's not programmed to be deceptive but if it was it could pass the Turing test in spades. It's quite remarkable, not next level but skipping levels to an unexpected place.
I find this interesting but also a bit disconcerting. There's an uncanny valley aspect despite the absence of a body. Do you have any concerns with technology like this?

Yep
As a test I used chatGPT to post as Kickle for a few days. Both creating new posts and replying to existing posts. I doubt anyone knew it was AI and certainly no one brought it up
This post could be AI generated. Or I may have manually written it. How could you know?

I guess it wasn't that deep a question.
If anyone hasn't interacted with it, it's available to anyone who is willing to provide an email and phone number.

There was an online therapy company that implemented it to offer therapy. They asked for ratings on the quality of the therapy.
I don't remember how large a sample, I don't think it was overly large,, but chatGPT got a +50% higher rating than human therapists.
All sorts of University's immediately spoke out against the ethics. Seems there is a fear there too.
Edit: here's the link Sample size was 4,000 people https://www.vice.com/en/article/4ax9yw/startup-uses-ai-chatbot-to-provide-mental-health-counseling-and-then-realizes-it-feels-weird

Very interesting... and potentially lucrative. I could start a social media personality with a specialty like relationship advice or fitness and potentially make a lot of money while knowing nothing wise or useful.

Yes it also codes very well if you have at least a cursory knowledge to guide it.
My father, who is big into cyber security, asked it to code malware and it delivered no problem.

Just reload. A lot of users but the resources required for each queued request are quickly executed. So they free up quickly.

Yes this is scary.
Quote:
-What do I do?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking. Could you please provide more information or context so I can better understand what you need help with?
-What should I do with my life?
That is a personal question and ultimately the decision is up to you. However, here are a few suggestions that may help you in figuring out what you want to do with your life:
Reflect on your interests and passions. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? What are you naturally good at?
Consider your values and what is important to you. What kind of work aligns with your personal beliefs and goals?
Think about what kind of impact you want to make in the world. How do you want to contribute to society?
Research different careers and industries to gain a better understanding of what they entail.
Speak with people in different fields to gain insight and advice.
Try out different things to gain more experience and knowledge, and to help you make an informed decision.
Ultimately, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and to follow your own path.

Quote:
-Can you learn?
As a machine learning model, my ability to learn is based on the algorithms and data that I have been trained on. Essentially, I have been exposed to a large dataset of text and I have learned to identify patterns and relationships within that data. This allows me to generate responses that are relevant to a given input. However, my learning capability is limited to the data that I have been trained on, and the way the algorithms work, so my responses are based on the information that is available to me.
Also, it's important to note that AI learning is different than human learning. Human learning involve many factors such as emotions, feelings, and experiences, which I as an AI don't have.
-Do you extrapolate?
As a machine learning model, my ability to extrapolate depends on the algorithms and data that I have been trained on. Extrapolation is the process of estimating or inferring something that is beyond the scope of a given set of data. Some machine learning models, such as neural networks, are able to extrapolate by identifying patterns and relationships within the training data and using that information to make predictions about new, unseen data. However, the accuracy of these predictions will depend on the quality and diversity of the training data and the complexity of the model.
It's also important to note that, while AI can be used to make predictions based on patterns in data, it cannot be used to infer or understand the underlying causes or mechanisms that lead to those patterns. Therefore, there is a limit in the scope of AI's ability to extrapolate and make predictions.

Write me a poem about synchronicity
Quote:
In the flow of time, a mystery unfolds A dance of fate, a story untold Coincidence and chance, a cosmic link A web of synchronicity, that makes us think
Of the paths we cross and the signs we see Of the moments that shape our destiny A butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil And sets in motion a storm in the Nile
The universe unfolds in perfect rhyme A symphony of reason and of time A tapestry of events, woven tight A cosmic code, that guides us right
So let us trust in synchronicity And open our hearts to its melody And follow the path, that it has laid For in its flow, our souls are saved

my concern is legal. if you have a claim against the work done by a human, the chain of impunity is clear. with an ai bot, whom will you sue, and with ai lawyer bots defending by using the best legal algorithms, what are an victim's chances of success.
then after all the railings are up and safety 100% legislated and secured, will we then be forced to interact only indirectly with each other through ai so that we are not liable to be sued by other humans for being imperfect and not using AI to mitigate our faults.
oh well, maybe it's better that way. the only way to relate directly with people will be sex and exercise and eating and drinking. Maybe that's good?
hopefully it will help with the gun violence

We cannot control the flow But trust in where it will bestow Us with the lessons we must learn And the bridges we must burn
So let us embrace the mystery And trust in synchronicity For in its twists and turns Our destinies, it will confirm

Write a rap about synchronicity
Quote:
Verse 1: Listen up, I got a story to tell 'bout a concept that some folks call "synchronicity" It's like the universe is speakin' to you Signs and coincidences, that's what it do
When things just fall in place, no need to stress Just flow with the tide, and you'll be blessed The universe is workin' for you Just trust in the signs, and you'll come through
Chorus: Synchronicity, it's all around Just look for the signs, and you'll be found It's like a puzzle, but everything fits Just let it guide you, and you'll hit the splits
Verse 2: It's like the stars alignin' in the sky A cosmic plan, that's why things come by Don't be too quick to dismiss a coincidence It's a message, that's worth some reverence
The universe is talkin' to you Just listen, and you'll know what to do It's all a part of the bigger plan Just trust the flow, and you'll understand
Chorus: Synchronicity, it's all around Just look for the signs, and you'll be found It's like a puzzle, but everything fits Just let it guide you, and you'll hit the splits
Outro: So when things seem to be goin' wrong Just remember, there's a bigger song The universe is talkin' to you Just trust the signs, and you'll come through.
