I bake them at 400° in the oven for two hours. Probably overkill but that's how I've been doing all my glass.

There’s a hole in the lid that lines up with a hole in the body for PC use. After the cycle, just twist the cap to seal the tube and keep everything sterile. However, for dry Petri dishes, 30min in the oven at 175°C is all you need to sterilize.

No, but if you don't use the 'loader' that lets you load up and remove the petri dishes easily, you may be able to fit a 100mm petri because the diameter of the can itself is 105mm.

Decisions... decisions... Do they dry (on the outside) if left in the can?

IF you put them in the oven, and then pour them once sterile, they are always dry! If PCed, I would think they need to come out to dry, because you want to seal the container to keep contamination from airflow out.

Well poop! That's what I expected though.

Any chance you got a link to the cans? I've only been able to find the size cooleko was mentioning.

That's awesome, I just used them today for the first time too. They are pretty great. Love the speed holes

Thanks homie! It feels good to have tweezers that don't hold on to my transfer pieces like they owe it money! It was the pieces of cut swab that would give me the most trouble.
Not anymore!
The speed holes are pretty neat too!

Between the grain mill, Pyrex petris, and this, my bank account hates you Picked up this sleeve and another set of 12 petris, I think I can go glass only now for agar work.

I love the angled ones for holding sterilized microcentrifuge tubes. Makes prepping small amounts of agar / spore solution / LC for shipping easier:

Looking good Greg
I too love those centrifuge tubes, easy for sending wedges of agar as well.
