Cars sucked last year so I had to hop on the ovoids train.  Took a bunch of the old caps and butts and tried to spread the love.

Damn good eye! Not easy spotting them barely poking through piles of leaves. They’re coming out to play early this year

oh no! not the puppers. hopefully it was a dry bite. he should definitely be building up some immunity though, so thats kind of a positive. if theres swelling the worst of it can be up to 24 hours later, but after that it should start getting better. if it doesnt start improving after that 24 hours is when you should start taking steps to go get him treated.

oh i just read that you shouldnt bandage the wound because it needs to drain but do try to clean it a little so it doesnt get infected. benadryl can help for preventing infection, but theres no evidence that it does anything for the venom so definitely keep an eye on it till that 24 hour mark

I took him to emergency care immediately didn't want to chance it esp sense he got bitten on his face.
If you're hitting right habitats and looking in right places you're bound to find them just like you did with weilii. ill post some more habitat pics shortly so can compare spots you've been looking thus far, wish I could do vids

They may not be that dangerous, death wise, but you can sure loose a limb.

I got bit by one a few years back, and I almost lost my hand.

I had to be airlifted to Vanderbilt hospital, and given two vials of anti-venom too.

I didn't even know that they even administered anti-venom for copperhead bites either, but at 14,000 dollars a piece, I think that they were just milking my insurance. And the chopper ride was even more than that.

All I can say is, good things dogs are more resilient to such things as humans.

Just be careful out there guys, deadly or not, the pain was almost unbearable, and I now have a  permanently deformed finger, with barely any feeling left in it. not fun at all!

Jesus that sounds awful. honestly was already feeling pretty paranoid after these two incidents so close to each other. the funny thing is I saved one of these dickheads a couple years ago that got caught in our garden netting. even brought inside to warm it up like an idiot. probably its offspring fucking us up now. wish one of those things would show itself to me now :spank:
