I am going to be depositing $200 into my savings account every month for 2023
I also collect silver and have fun looking through rolls for cool coins
I'm going to buy a box of dimes ($250) every month from scotia (my main bank)
And deposit $200 of those dimes into my RDSP account with TD every month
According to some people I talked to you can still find silver coins in boxes
Even of I just find 1 thats like $3 I made
This works better in the states too, theres way more silver in states money, canada takes silver and nickel out of circulation
I was going to use this money anyways, might as well pick through it first, it's like I get to use it twice

I found my first silver like 17 rolls into the 50 roll box
Definitely psyched now to do another box sometime

Very interesting, to harvest silver this way. To me sounds like a thing I might try.
I had a RDSP at one point, until the government made me liquidate it. ðŸ˜

Oof, I think now you can keep your rdsp, as long as you only contribute when you have a DTC
So updates, I've done maybe 6 or 7 boxes and most of them found 1 silver
One box I found a whole roll, but thats unrealistic to happen, I must of hit someone's collection dump
But the verylast box I did yesterday, I found none, hopefully next one I do pans out(lol pans out, would make sense if these were gold)

I'm functioning far better and the Cert. Wasn't getting renewed. As of a few years ago.
1 coin that's 70-80% silver in that many boxes? I might not try my luck... Even if hunting silver seems more appealing than gambling.
From other places I know you said you're filling up coin album though.

No I meant like 1 silver per box, I found 1 in more boxes than none
Its still not exactly lucrative unless you hit a collection dump
But it can be fun to do once in a while, quarters are.more fun with all the different commemorative and colorfull quarters, but you are less likely to find a silver quarter, Plus a box of quarters is $500
But if you do find a silver quarter I see them for like $6 on ebay each

Ok I understand, "one per box"
I'm not sure if anyone is making successful sales of coins on eBay, not trying to be ignorant. Maybe I'm just saddened that when I was heavily focused on addiction with my treacherous ex-wife my collection went into a coin Star... 😢
I do have a nice professional collection somewhere, that I don't really have a need for, but common advice from people close to me saying "give it to your children..."
So, $6 for one quarter on eBay is appealing, but I am left wondering : does the bank give you free coin wrappers, and do you know anyone melting junk silver?

Junk silver is selling well, most people dont want to melt it, they keep it for a recognizable form of silver that dosnt need ro be tested every time it trades, if you put it on ebay a buck cheaper then everyone else I'm sure itd sell like fire
Yeah you can get free coin wrappers from the bank but they only give you so many, I can re use 99% of the wraps the coins were in if I'm careful taking them out, so I just ask for a few of each every time I go to the bank, not sure if they would give you 50, themosti asked for is 15

Quarters are harder to find too, It was dimes that were one a vox, If you find a quarter it will probably be a 67 or a 68 which are worth a little less
