Sorry, G-dude, sounds like you baked `em. That one might make it. Better order some more syringes. Don`t feel to bad, few of us got it right the first time.

You say you have that one jar with growth already present. My suggestion would be to use a glove box of some sorts and very Cleanly, remove a piece and innoculate another jar, then take another piece and innoculate another, until you use all the mycelia or run out of jars. That will knock out some of the time required to start innoculation. A homemade wire loop will do fine for this task or a pair of tweezers. Either way, make sure to work in a VERY clean enviroment.

My friend has not attempted to introduce already present mycelia in honey water only spores. It should work hypothetically. And then you can use the honey water/mycelia to innoculate other jars.

Yes there is, although honey water can be contaminate prone. As bluhoney has said, you`ve got to be clean.

Exactly how did your friend do that?

OK, 1 oz. honey per quart of water. Honey water goes into jar and is steamed for 1 hour. Let cool, with sterile knife scoop out a chunk of mycelia. Give mycelia a 30 second bath in pure hydrogen peroxide. Immediately transfer mycelia to jar of honey water. Shake the living shit out of it. After two days inject 1cc H2O2. At room temp. in 3 - 4 days honey water should be cloudy with mycelia. Good sterile practice and common sense make the difference between success and failure.
Glove box, flow hood, oven tek, good. Fingers, jar sitting around with lid off, too sweet honey water, bad.
