Possible accidental Ergot inhalation

I recently went to throw out some old red sorghum (milo) seed that I had sitting in a bucket for a year. When tossing the milo out, there was a big cloud of debris in the air, and I inhaled quite a bit of it by accident.
The rest of the day, I felt like I had dosed something. I was stuck in the psychedelic headspace, feeling awfully lethargic, getting brain zaps I associate with DMT.
I've read that red sorghum grows on milo, and thrives in my local climate. Is it possible I inhaled a low dose of ergine?

I don't know enough about ergot growing on Milo, it's entirely possible, I do know people have tripped out on bunk acid, placebo is a hell of a drug. Either way, glad to hear none of your limbs fell off!

Probably just had some basic malaise from a spore load or something. Similar to Oyster mushroom spores, it puts you in a very strange head space but that is my assumption.

Maybe toxic mold and placebo.

Any particular reason you guys don't suspect ergine? I did some research and it is very common in my area, and grows on Milo.

It's possible, you'd have to test it and that doesn't sound pleasant. I'd say if you have a hunch though, go for it!

You would be able to visibly see contaminated ergot grain from the flowering phase, you're talking about harvested and stored grain that has become dusty and possibly moldy with time.
It has a higher chance of being a competitor mold like trich, or similar than ergine.
When you bought the sorghum you would already have seen the ergot imo.
