The popularisation of mushrooms: a psychedelic renaissance 4

It seems apparent there is a new psychedelic renaissance with mushrooms leading the way. Regularly I now see mushrooms mentioned in movies, media, television, online and we hear about new research being done and decriminalisation and legalisation moves around the world.
Personally I think this stands apart from the 60's psychedelic movement where it was all peace and love but there was a very abstract understanding of what psychedelics meant for individuals. Now people are looking to mushrooms for healing and self development. The shift in perception in the general public is happening very quickly and the conversation is coming up more often with more influential people.
What a time to be alive.

I agree. I do see some pitfalls that come with commercialization. For instance the pharma side playing around with the chemicals so it won't produce a trip. I mean, isn't that what makes this medicine so unique? Is it even taking mushrooms, if you don't trip?
The positive side is that the hysteria and overall negative connotations are going away. Yeah, the government was full of shit when they gave a schedule 1 rating with zero data. Shrooms are following what happened to cannabis and it will snake through the rest of the US in the same fashion.

Public perception plays a big in the whole thing, when the majority of a countrys population all agree on the same thing like that psychedelics should be illegal because they might harm our children. Then as a prime minister trying to get votes you want to give the majority what they want regardless of what the science says. Idioticracy rules over intelligence.

If they keep the dosage moderate, it will be great for the next generation of children growing up with intermittently mushroomed parents. this recontexutalizes quality time.

It's just the WEF getting us primed for a time where they will keep the population all doped up on shrooms so we won't complain about the wires sticking out of our brains.
Although I don't think the WEF is aware that mushrooms make you want to pull down the curtain on the man controlling the machine.
God damned corporate hippies!

I think this psychedelic renaissance is exactly what people and the world need. If everyone used mushrooms I’m sure we could all live better lives and make the world a much better place.

i keep seeing microdosing ads but this looks more like mushrooms capitalised to me
apart from that i'm reading more articles in mainstream media but they're usually very stripped down and only touch the surface. because it's so hard to explain the real benefit of these things...

I live in an area where it’s been decriminalized in a bunch of cities. Everyone I know is aware of the benefits. Most are microdosing. Many are tripping. I’m giving away nats and cubes by the ounce. I’m providing them to MDs and therapists. I’m teaching people to grow. My parents, in their mid-late 70s are taking them. Everyone has seen the Pollan documentary. Many have read the book. It’s a great time to be around these parts. I hope decriminalizing them at the state level happens soon.

They say it is only a matter of time before the FDA grants approval for psychedelics to be used therapeutically.
MDMA in 2023, and psilocybin a year or two later.
As they become commercially available to medical professionals the court of public opinion may sift towards mainstream acceptance.

I read today there are many cannabis gummy induced poisoning cases in children in the NE USA. Without regulation psilocybin misuse will set fire to American family values. High doses lead to black outs lead to violence and lock ups. The FDA never learned to regulate dangerous psychotropics. This could be Maxwell's Silver Hammer coming down on their heads.
