Never heard of it, and canāt find any reference to it other than a reddit post talking about how Grimes went about writing one of her albums.
This is a good way to completely cook your brain and write yourself off for a long time⦠and potentially cause health issues, although Iām not sure about the safety of doing something like this. Would suggest that you donāt do this.. almost seems like a troll post.
If I were you Iād refrain from doing any kind of internet āchallengesā.
What do you wish to achieve by doing this?

Not necessarily bad, amphetamines could be anything in that drug class, not necessarily methamphetamine. Could be dextro. Plenty of people take dextro or amphetamine salts for ADHD

Not sure exactly what OP has in mind, but Grimes apparently wrote an album while on a 9 day (or 3 weeks according to some) amphetamine binge (could have been speed or adderall) and did not sleep or eat the whole time.
Details are apparently lacking, and some people think she may have been brought food by friends who were checking in on her.
If I was OP I would be very cautious what I believed about these stories. Apparently she has told different versions to different journalists.
9 day amphetamine binges and staying awake the whole time arenāt good for anyone. In my own opinion, if you want to get creative and push the limits of consciousness youāre much better off having a trip on one of the classic psychedelics. Youāll have more fun, and you wonāt lose 20kg and become dangerously ill.

Oh, heh, definitely don't stay up for nine days. Especially while not eating.
On the other hand, if op is morbidly obese...

This is true. Itās all related to dose.
By the sound of it, Grimes was abusing it in order to keep herself awake the whole time.
The idea of not eating for 9 days while doing this is just so cringe

A couple of days of a binge can be fun but your body needs to eat and sleep dude.

Ok, I confess. It seems that I'm so old I had to google who we are talking about
This seems like a really bad idea. If you aren't already addicted to amphetamines, I'd suggest staying away from it. Sure it might be fun for a little while, but I know several people who got their life/health ruined by that substance. Please don't be one of them.
The most important question here (as others have stated) is: Why would you do this?

It actually sounds like a cry for help to be honest. Back at uni when I was binging amphetamines just to get enough work done to support myself, I was a shell of a person, also not eating or sleeping. It was by far the worst time of my life, so yea I hope Grimes recovers and does some real drugs(like LSD) that are actually a challenge to take.

I'd have to hear her story. I'm guessing it's a her. LeeAnn Grimes? She is a woman right? Singer?
It might be a journey worth taking, but I don't know enough about the drug and it's effects when used like that.
I've tried meth two or three times and I don't see how you could get anything as creative as writing a song done on it.
That's why meth heads have their house painted ten different colors.
You feel like you can do anything, but get lost as soon as you start.
I once thought I could build a vibrator for an old girlfriend while I was on meth, but just ended up taking a toy apart to get at the motor and that's as far as I got.
She was disappointed and so was I.
Meth is probably the worst thing you can do, other than smoking cigarettes.
Cigarettes just take longer to kill you.
-------------------- Just take um like you get um. Those ephemeral spasms of infinity, in suspended animation, born across a boundless ether of existential misery aloft a revelry (of awe) for the abhorrently sublime.
