Questions about 50/50+tek, needs clarifying please.

-I downloaded "Mycotopia's Grow Guide"dont know if anyone has seen it? Anyway.. it claims under 50/50 tek that the substrate layer should be close to 1 inch thick covered by a 1 inch thick casing layer on top. The 50/50 tek on shrommery although states that the substrate layer should be 3inch thick, with a 3/4ths to 1 inch layer of 50/50 casing layer ontop.  Whats with tha discrepency? Both teks agree on the 1/2 inch thick bottom layer of vermiculite thou :smirk:!
-After you have just finished laying the layer of 50/50 across your colonized substrate, do you cover it up and put it into your running fruiting chamber?  As in does the mycelium need like a 2 -to- 3 day covered period with tin foil or somthing just room temp conditions and (rh), or does it immediately need lots of gas exchange and an "82% - 92%(rh)" and some specific temp. for this "take over" period?
-If there is some optimal [temp/(rh)/gas exchange rate] for the period of time, before I notice the first mycelium high spots coming threw? What are these magical numbers for this few day long time period? And how long should it take 2-3days correct?

Afte the casing layer is first applied, the conditions can remain similar to incubation. Keep it dark! If using a lasagna pan, cover it with Al foil, and put a few slits in it with a knife. Spray it a bit daily, until you see the first signs of mycelium poking through. Spray these spots directly, then cover them with more 50-50. when you see mycelium poking through the casing evenly, usually 1 - 3 patches, then give it one final spray over. Blast it with lost of fresh air and close to 100% humidity as possible (ie. coolmist), OR coldshock first then blast.
