Pink Cali Poppy Flowers
    #2811639 - 06/20/04 07:50 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

This website----> http://plantsdatabase.com/go/659 says that cali poppy flowers should be either Gold (Yellow-Orange) or Bright Yellow, but mine are a stand-out Pink.
Is this unusual?
Im planning on either drying out the flower petals and trying a nice smooth relaxing smoke or either making a tea from the whole plant.
ANy suggestions on making the tea or drying out the petals?
Thanks for any replies!
Peace,
PF~

Very interesting. We have tons of poppies naturally growing at our house (and in the surrounding areas) and I've never seen a pink one. I did a quick google search and found this page which discusses the various varieties which I never knew existed (apparently a number of them were developed by cultivators) as well as some of the uses for which American Indians harvested them.

ive heard lots of mixed things about cali poppies. Never really seen anything that seemed concrete. Have you tried it out before? did it work? Those things are as plentifull as dandelions, would be a nice find.
