Hey Rumfor,
You ever encountered an AA+ culture that only sporadically throws out leucistic fruits?
Did some researching on here and elsewhere, and found that others have occasionally experienced the same. I was skeptical, but the cluster of pale fruits popping up late leads me to believe it is in fact AA+. Strange result nonetheless.
Currently waiting on spores to germ. Hoping that the resulting MS flushes will yield some Lucy cloning candidates.

I have never had it happen to me. But I've seen on here what you're talking about. My guess is it would be a sign of the pheno destabilizing. So you'd definitely wanna grow, clone, print and repeat a few generations if you don't wanna just end up with basically an A+

After New Years gonna work on the prints y'all homies sent me... Right now I can't run my life & work and have more than 4 shoeboxes running parallel. How do you do it??? Maybe it's my small apartment and not having a dedicated place to cultivate, shroomie friends invade my living room

Mushroom cultivation is all about planning being organized, I run 10 shoeboxes + lil side projects in constant rotation in a relatively small space. All while maintaining a life/job and honestly I could do more if I wanted. If you space things out you can make things much more manageable, 20 mins of work here and there rather then a few hours all at once. Stuff like grain prep can be mixed with other activities with proper time management

Cool. Makes sense.
I could just buy a print elsewhere that would do what I want. But what’s the fun in that?
Feel like the path of most resistance will probably a be fun and interesting one. Hopefully the pins mature so I can start tinkering.
Thanks

I wouldn't print or clone the ones you're talking about though. Go back to your original print and try again and only do the generational process to ones that look lucy

also, if this is your first big blob, i recommend slicing it into peices about as thin as you would slice a lemon. and dry them. i see this is already turning blue.

You hit the nail on the head right there.

Is there a sort of shortlist to timeframes that things can "sit and wait" (i.e. agar after mixing before PC, grains post PC, etc)?? That would be great for noob enthusiasts like myself.
But also, realistically, I really don't have the space for more than 4 boxes with proper conditions. The next step is shoeboxes being a permanent fixture in my living room. But for those that can do it or have the right layout, more power to ya! Santa hats, can do... Cultivation planning, not yet (YET, mind you)

Do it.. it’s very easy. Especially when working with unique varieties that you can see distinct traits in an f1 fruit.
In 10 days I’ll rub a set of these dark af sets together in sterile water til they are free of spores and then use that SS to knock up 4 pf cakes.. shouldn’t be a problem finding a cross

I dont believe such a list exists, but most things can sit for atleast a few weeks if not months, thats the beauty of it. Spawn a jar today or maybe next week who cares, I make agar 2 weeks before I even plan to use it, then some sit unused much longer
Also if you run albino and "swab only" varieties you dont have to worry about spores blowing their load and you kind of have a wider harvest window that can be useful imo.
Some PE clone progress, ty again faht for the original swabs

If I pour agar to store for future use (I'm thinking of trying baby food jars, glass petris are a bitch to handle in a SAB)... do I need to parafilm them during the waiting window? (and I guess yeah, storing at room temp some days will show any contam in my procedure)

Just saran/glad/cling wrap them. Zip lock bag would also do the trick. Just anything to stop air turbulence during the waiting period.
