Has anyone else read the book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Im half way through it, and so far I have found it to be better then the movie.
Course, unlike the movie, I cant read the book while im trippin.

The book is awesome. I read it before seeing the movie. Needless to say, the movie didn't impress me that much. You can't beat Hunter S. Thompson straight from the source.

i love both i think the movie is hilarious but it's kind of hard to follow if you never read the book because of all the crazy hallucinations that're thrown in there. I saw the movie first but i never saw the whole thing. Then i read the book, understood it more and watched the movie. I love the dialouge brought to life though.

I think it was better that I saw the movie before I read the book, it just puts a better image of whats going on really.

I have both the movie and the book. F&L is the only book I can read in 2 days. And its just as good every time. Its a must read. Way Way more content than the movie. Though the movie is really well done.
If you want to see a great ass book turned into a shitty shitty movie, go read and watch Dune
(In that order).(The only other book I sat down and basically read through.

Dude, I TOTALLY agree. The book was amazing but of all the movies and stuff made from it none of them have even come close to doing it justice.
Like with F&L the book is better than the movie, but that's always the case. I just wish someone would make a really kickass version of Dune.

I thought the movie was great and enjoyed the book many times before I saw it.
In fact, the parts I didn't like about the movie were because they were the parts I didn't like about the book.

Ya I wish Alexando Jodorowski directed Dune, like he was originally supposed to. I'm sure it would have been one hell of a movie. Anyone here know why David Lynch ended getting to make the film instead?
