Brown rice & arsenic concerns

Anyone have knowledge of whether arsenic contaminates (or is absorbed by the mushrooms) when using brown rice as a substrate? TIA
From Google search: “Brown rice has 80 percent more inorganic arsenic on average than white rice of the same type. Arsenic accumulates in the grain's outer layers, which are removed to make white rice. Brown has more nutrients, though, so you shouldn't switch entirely to white.
Washing and cooking rice with plenty of clean water can help reduce the amount of arsenic present. This method works for both white and brown rice, with one study showing it has the potential to remove up to 57 percent of the toxic element”
Sorry about the poll. Can't figure out how to remove it

Yeah, I died of arsenic poisoning from eating brown rice. I'm typing this from the beyond thanks to the mushrooms.

You quoted but did not supply a reference. Your poll question is, “Arsenic % in brown rice substrate?” How do you answer yes or no to that question? I did like the “You May choose many” on the poll. What is a brown rice substrate?

Brown rice sucks for this hobby. Use a real grain and learn bulk tek. At least shoeboxes.
PF had its place, but there's no reason not to start with spores and agar and jars, now that all the info is codified into best practices.
There is some variation from tek to tek, but if you follow what people who are doing it are doing, you'll do it. Without all that pesky arsenic.
