Habitat: Where does it grow? Leaf litter/soil North GA
Gills: White-cream Sub-decurrent
Stem: Pics are the best I have, not mine but trying to help someone so I never touched them.
Cap: See pics, I don't have all the info in this case
Spore print color: Unknown at this time, will update if I get an update from the person I'm helping. Bruising: none
These were posted in my local FB group and I thought I had an idea but the heavy rhizomorphic mycelium is throwing me off as is the clustering.
Initially identified as lepista sp...but now I'm not entirely confident and second guessing.
Moria?....renegade?....nitro?.... What say you

This is what I was thinking initially...but it just didn't match enough for me to identify it as such.
What about clitocybe rivulosa? Seems it has the correct features and rhizomorphic mycelium....there also seems to be observations in my area.

Something to separate the Leucocybe from the similar species to apply FeSO4 to the gills. Leucocybe will turn purple (it takes several seconds) and the other species will not.

Could be, for some reason it has that Lyophyllum vibe, at least for me. Does C.rivulosa has rhizo mycelium, I don't think I remember seeing it with it ?
iirc, Lepista is a clade with white looking mushrooms, and nuda is not representative of Lepista, because it is nowhere near type species of Lepista (L.panaeola). I guess it just might be some weird Lepista after all...But if i had the chemicals I would definitely run this test toxic man is advising.

I recommended it to the original poster but she's just wanting to know what was growing in her yard, I doubt she even knows how to chem test them or even what the chems are.
I found 1 observation of lepista sordida that looked EXACTLY like what she had with he rhizomorphs and everything, and I do not think it's sordida in that observation but possible something in that lepista clade that hasn't quite been placed yet. I just gave her the recommendation of lepista sp with sordid as a possibility.
As always dude I appreciate you
