Main Site - Mushroom Info 1

I've noticed that users are no longer able to contribute, and that the ability to create or edit pages has been disabled for some time. Are there any plans to work on this part of the site, or has it been permanently abandoned? It appears than many pages are just stubs that have not been updated in 12+ years.
Also, regarding the Shroomery Wiki, are there any opinions on adopting it and developing it's role as a potential successor the the main site resources?

The CMS functionality could probably use some updates, but it still works fine. Editing was not disabled for technical reasons, but because it caused confusion and lots of spurious edits by people who didn't realize they were modifying the live site.
Now, regular users can only make certain types of submissions. It's possible to submit a document to the trip reports section, an image to the gallery, or a URL to the links section. Users can also edit their own submissions. Then, any mod or admin can manually make someone a CMS editor, which gives them full edit permissions. We're happy to make anyone an editor as long as they understand how a wiki works. It's just that I got tired of reverting edits like "oiajsdoijfoisad why can i type here?ffefew".
I don't have any plans to switch the main site over to MediaWiki. It's a nice platform, but I'm not super familiar with it, and I don't believe it completely replaces the functionality of our CMS, like a hierarchical structure of sections containing a mix of subsections, documents, files, and links. More importantly, it would take a huge amount of time and effort reformatting our content in wiki markup, and it's not something that could be fully automated. But I'm interested in seeing how the Shroomery Wiki progresses and if people embrace that type of platform. We've offered help to Guerilla if he needs it but we don't want to commandeer his project.

Thanks for the insight! I added a link for one of the Facebook/Discord mods' website. If you give me permissions, I can try to work on expanding some of the other pages that need it.

One bug I am aware of is that the cascading menus overlap when you right-click on a link.

Plz forgive me- for butting in here, but I’ve not found how to save posts or how to follow an account if there are ways to do so. Is there a link to learn all site features? I did search for it and didn’t locate it. Maybe I’m an idiot but I didn’t think so, lol.
