any southern californians have any luck?

i'm a newbie so i was wondering if any people in So Cal had any advice or good places to look.

I can tell you right away that you wont be finding anything of use down there.

You might be able to find some edible Clitocybe nuda's during the winter, but other than that you'll be finding poisonous Amanita's once in while in well watered lawns.

Maybe you should go into the cultivation forum and then you wont have to move or you could make friends with somebody that sells them(not advisable but at least you'd have 'em).

I live in So. Cal. I was just getting interested in mushroom hunting, but I guess since there are no good mushrooms down here...I'll go back to cultivation.
