I thought conceptually it was pretty cool, but not even in my top ten sci-fi. I'm in the middle of The Dark Forest still, I need to pick it back up and finish that series. Will check out more Cixin Liu for sure.
Currently I'm rereading A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm going pretty slow this time and really giving the characters their due when I imagine their voices and the way they sound. I was tripping a few weeks ago and came across a YouTube channel focused on ASoIaF theories and I was really inspired when this nerd rolled out his Euron Croweye voice to read the teaser chapter from Winds of Winter. I'm having a lot of fun . I read a lot of fantasy as kid and Martin is one of my favorites.

I'll have to check that out!
My favorite "Sci Fi" book to date is The Coming of Tan by Riley Martin. Its a masterpiece.

The Quartet: Orchestrating the Second American Revolution, 1783-1789 by Joseph J. Ellis
(The quartet are George Washington, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, and the author posits that the drafting of the Constitution was the second American Revolution, since there was such political chaos in the 1780s and no popular will to form a federal republic.)

The Passenger by Cormac McCarthy
Cormac McCarthy has come out with not one but two brand new books! The other one is called Stella Maris. It's been a long time coming and I'm stoked!

Stella Maris by Cormac McCarthy
The second book of the two just released by the author, it is entirely in dialogue. I'm into it already and it's great. And The Passenger was phenomenal.

These two books are extraordinary. In the second book, but also in the first, McCarthy gets pretty technical in terms of math and physics. I have a physics background, so I was absolutely tickled by it, especially by the idiosyncrasies and eccentricities of McCarthy himself regarding the subjects. I have to think that a lot of people, including a good few of his hardcore fans, will probably be put off by this. It's not easy reading. I imagine that's not a problem for McCarthy.
Up next, some lighter fare: White Fire (A Pendergast Novel) by Preston & Child

Started reading The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. It's a sci-fi book, and it's pretty interesting

That one has been sitting on my shelf for a couple years, got to get around to it eventually. It sounds quite good
